And since you cleaned the maf sensor and it turned the light off, im guessing that the sensors the problem. Or an over oiled air filter thats messing up your maf reading. But check for vacuum leaks and everything before purchasing a sensor!

Changed the fuel filter. Light came on after 80 miles. Found a missing cap on the back of the sc so hopefully that's my vacuum leak

Hopefully this is a pic of the missing cap. My buddy told me it was there when we installed it. Guess it jumped off

Well good hope that clears it up, that code is pretty common with sc install, wish I could find one for a reasonable price.

I know this thread is old, but I wanted to chime in with my experience on getting a P0171 "system too lean" code on a first gen with a TRD supercharger.

I had my truck looked at by 2 dealerships, one of which couldn't diagnose the problem and basically told me I was SOL. Went to another dealership that had trouble too, but called in a master mechanic to look at it. Sure enough, he found the same exact port on the back of my supercharger was uncapped and creating a vacuum leak, thus the P0171 code.

Anyone having this problem, check to see if the port is properly capped and all lines going into and out of the supercharger are connected and not cracked, as that is almost certainly the reason for this issue.

Wish I had seen this thread before the whole ordeal I went through, lol.
