    So I'm going through my parts and install instructions and I notice there's no cutting template for my hc bumper. How is everyone approaching this when cutting?

    What ^ he said.

    On my first cut I practiced on the lower section that was going to be cut off anyways just to get the feel for it. Youre going to have fun! :D

    Paint complete, sprayed with PPG Hot Rod Black. Currently looks like gloss black, but after it cures it'll flatten. Now to prep bed for cutting o_O

    Thanks fellas! Didn't realize how heavy it was. Awkward weight. Definitely a 2-3 man job. Any install pointers? Good looking out in getting a feel for the cutting below the suggested cutting line.

    Definitely start cutting lower than you think you need. It is much easier with 2-3 guys for the rear, It can be done with 2, but 3 is preferable. Just make sure you remember the frame is tapered so you need to come in at an angle when you are lining it up on the frame.

    Satin, I was just curious for the blind spot detectors...how did you guys mount those back up once you installed the high clearance on the 2016s?

    There is an option when buying the bumper to have spots fabbed for the sensors on the bumper.

    Not those sensors :) those are the back up sensors (which are quarter sIzed slots) in talking about the blind spot sensors which are a 3x3 electronic piece that normally sit in the corners of the bumpers

    That seems like it would be terrible for off-roading haha. Going off all the time

    @Pelfreybilt ,

    Installing my rear hc with gate tomorrow. Do you suggest a particular grease for the bearings on the gate? Headed to the local big box store and was just going to get any bearing grease but figured I'd ask you all direct if theres a certain brand/msds you recommend

    Question for Pelfreybilt and anyone else with a swing out gate:

    Did I over tighten something? I can't open and close the gate without putting my body weight on the gate itself. The latch sits high enough to prevent smooth opening and closing.

    Cool. My buddy put that assembly together while me a couple others were cutting my bedside. Tips on taking the top cap off to access the castle nut? He mentioned the way it went on it may be a pain to take off. I haven't tinkered with it yet.

    Loosing the set screw and hit it up, at an angle with a rubber mallet. I am fortune enough to have HUGE soft jaw pliers that work even better.
