I would try a different relay. I dont have the info in front of me, but there must be one for parking lamps or similar.

Something else you can do, buy a seperate relay and tie it into a hot of your choice. Like directly to the parking lights wire. Thats if you cant find a relay in the fuse the box to use. I would try to keep it to something in the lighting. Who knows when different relays are turning on or off, which will make your lights do weird things. As you experienced.

Still no luck with lights. Checked all connections. Fog lights are on all the time except with low beams. They go off when low beams come on. Can't turn them off unless I turn the key off? I will try something different tomorrow

Edit. Forget all that I just said. Too much invloved. Simply tie into into the parking lights wire, and run it to the factory foglight relay. The wire coming from the parking lamps will be the voltage to close the relay. Its the same as what youre doing with the efi relay, just using the parking lights instead.

I have a 2010 SR5, this is what my fuse box looks like, I noticed it's not the same as the OP any suggestions so I don't burn my taco down?

Look on page 29, I believe that has the same fuse box as you. Good luck!

Anyone wire their fogs to come on when the daytime running lights are on? So that they come on when the headlight switch is put in the DRL position? Where is that relay/fuse? I'm guessing under the dash.

No, shouldnt have any connection to the inverter.

Isn't the big grey fuse you tap into for the inverter :notsure:

the big grey fuse is actually a big relay for the inverter so yes you could have issues. Typically its from people forcing the extra blade into the connection hole along with the relay and this pushes the blade up into the relay breaking it.

    Norton and StOrMyThEtAcO[QUOTED] like this.

My mistake. I was thinking this was the fog light mod that used the trailer relay.

I have done this Mod on my '13 Tacoma it's great.

Now what I want to know, is if there are any Toyota buffs out there that can tell me if this process would be relatively the same on a Toyota Highlander?
