I have a 3", 2", 1 1/2", 3/4" and 1/2" hole saw but given my location in relation to yours I don't think it will help you out. Unless you have a drone that can fly down and pick it up.

 

Sadly, I do not have a drone...spend too much money on the truck haha.

 

I have a 3.25" at the house. You going to do that and then finish with a dremel?

I have a dremel tool that you are more than welcome to use it. I don't know that I wouldn't do the whole job with a dremel. I like the idea of small intricate cuts and measure each time, but that may just be my OCD perfectionist attitude that most of the time draws out my projects a little longer than they are suppose to.

 

Hm, I considered the same....I think I may take you up on that. I've been meaning to buy a dremel but keep forgetting.

 

Having done this already. I would recommend using the hole saw then clean it up. It's a considerable amount of metal that has to be removed. I started with just a dremel but quickly realized I neede to use the hole saw it helps keep clean lines in your cut. The dremel cut off wheels don't do that well on the Sheetmetal

I would spring for a hole saw. At most they are what, 10 bones? What size does the hole need to be?

Edit: I see depending on the size, a 5" Lenox is 35 bucks at lowes. Thats with an arbor

 

I guess the hole saw just works in a standard drill? I believe it's 105mm/4 1/8inch hole saw.

 

Yes but you will need a hole saw arbor. If it were me I'd buy a 4 1/8" hole saw and arbor. Then cleanup with a dremel like Derrick said.

I'm considering doing it this weekend. I know Brian is in Moscow so I can just do it at my place.

 

I would be more than happy to help you Monday during the day at my place if you need a garage. I don't know that I have a drill strong enough for the hole saw but I should have everything else. I would offer Saturday and Sunday but football. Monday night is football too but we could easily knock it out during the day.

 

I have a strong drill, just gotta get the hole saw. I may or may not take you up on that Monday offer. If I can get the dremel from you like tomorrow afternoon? I will prob just do it at the house though.
