    The next big thing.

    image.jpg

That is 56 square of shingles. ~12,000 lbs of tar, fiberglass, and very small rocks. I am dumb enough to think I could make a few trips with my truck to go get them. I was smart enough to ask to borrow my buddies truck (the same one we took to NJ to pick up the lumber for my building) to get them. I sure am glad I did that.

I should have a crew here tomorrow to start the install (weather permitting). If Hurricane Matthew could just please stay away from Walhalla SC, that would be great.

I'm not sure if I updated this part yet but: I got my windows about 3 weeks ago now. If you notice in the picture above they are not installed yet. When they came in and were delivered, I was pissed. I received junk. They were scratched, dented, imperfections everywhere. So I called the dealer. He came out and the first words out of his mouth were "I'm embarrassed ". He made the entire order again (through the supplier) and hopefully they should be here tomorrow (not looking good) or Monday. If I get the same bulls%*t this time I will be furious.

Needless to say that put me back a few minutes.

    Keep chipping away.

They were 2 hours late and missed some good weather, but they are getting after it.

If the rain holds off they said they would finish today .

There are already 8 guys here, and they called in two more.

Yes he is. It also helps that my father-in-law has been doing business with them for the last 30 years or so.

I have done some more. I need to update, but I am now on an outage schedule and work hours are crazy. The house is on a temp hold because I have zero time left at the end of my day. Once the outage is over I plan on taking several days off to really jump on things that have to be done.

In the process of wiring. Boxes and can lights are hung. 3 bedrooms, kitchen and some others are done.

I was finished with my outage schedule and ready to get back to the house when this happened:
    image.jpg

Burried a razor knife into my arm (to the meat) helping my father in law install a pre-finished floor at his house. That set me back a few days. Then, while I'm recovering from that, I got the worst cold I have ever had. Couldn't keep my head up or stay awake. I think part of that was the antibiotics and pain meds for the arm.

Anyway, back to work for me. I'd post pics but the really won't be anything to see until the panel boxes are set and wired :D.

Yes. I was worried about tendon and nerve damage, but I seem to be okay. Doc said I knicked the tendon a little but he wasn't worried. I did cut into the deep muscle a little. I felt that already trying to do too much too soon.
