    Me too...

I cleaned up and organized the garage last night, and the pile of boxes full of boxes is becoming ridiculous... That's why I've decided to only buy the supplies that I need to complete the installs of what I already have. I simply cannot put any more mods on the list.

Ramon, take the 4Runner switch, please!

I was only going to do one mod at a time, start to finish and then move on to the next mod on my list. Now I have the Apex Fog lights to mount and I have 3 ARB awning to install. I'll have to make some some mounting brackets first for the ARB awnings though. I also have some interior wire project that I want to get done as well, the list just keeps on getting bigger and bigger. The problem is the deals are just to good to pass up or like this hilux ring being custom made. If I don't get this hilux ring now will I be able to get one later on when I'm actually ready to do this mod? The only problem I see with waiting to do this mod will be remembering where I put it so I won't loose it when I'm actually ready to do this mod.

Alright guys the rings are being shipped to me later today. My hilux ring might be here this week ( was shipped form Taiwan). Once I have both in hand I will test out and ship the next day. My advice would be to order your hilux switch asap, because it ships from oversees. I would also pull your old switch out of the socket and get those 2 wires put in. Then just leave the existing switch plugged in(but leave it dangling incase you go wheeling). If you wait till you get your ring from me in about 2 weeks, THEN do all the above steps you will most likely add another 3-4 weeks of wait time that you can get out of the way now. Just a heads up guys.. Have a great week! @nazlax10 please chime in if I missed anything...

Sounds good to me. Only one thing. When gluing in the ring and switch use epoxy and not super glue. Super glue has a terrible white off-gassing that will never really go away. Save yourself the heart ache and use epoxy. Just a dab will do ya.

I just used the regular two part from aitozone and yes I would definitely recommend it because it could potentially not stay in place.

So for anyone installing the Hilux switch in a 2015 the wiring has changed. The new wiring is pictured below. It'll be the same method of connecting to it, just different wires. It's the black plug behind the AC panel.

Connect to the solid green and the white with black tracer.

You have to remove the existing light bulb and install a different one.

Just got some bad news about my switch from David.

Fucking post office, that's all I have to say about that.

Back to the start of the process again. At least the ring is on order and in the works.

Ya, I never got around to it tho. Its just a little $2 bulb you swap out. No soldering to change colors like the Hilux

I will organize everything over the weekend, go get some packaging on Monday, and the goal is to have tracking numbers for everyone on thursday afternoon. Below is the PM in case you missed it, and for anyone thing about ordering this.

Please follow the template to ensure this goes smoothly. Steps to get your ring:

    1. PayPal $30 friends and family to kgarrett1991@hotmail.com

    2. Reply to this message stating “Paid” then your name and address you want it shipped to

    -Example:

    “Paid”

    jane Doe

    856 Main St

    Somewhere CA, 93555

    3. Once I see it’s paid I will ship out. As crazy as this sounds I do have a life outside of TW, I will do my very best to ensure these are shipped as quickly as possible. Just please keep in mind this will be on my lunch/on break/after work of my 9-5 job, I can’t drop everything I’m doing and ship it immediately… but I can promise you WILL get a ring if your name is on that Original post and you have sent funds.

    4. If you don’t receive a tracking number or confirmation from me stating “shipped” in 4-5 days please shoot me a gentle reminder so I can investigate and see what I did/didn’t do.

    5. When you receive your ring please reply back stating “got it” So I can check you off the list.

    Happy modding!

The hilux switch is not plug and play as stated in the first post of this thread.

This will not work on the 2005 because of where the switch is.

Everyone should have a tracking number as of now. Reply to your Pm if you have not. @rogerboy27 yours is going out later this week due to the address mix up, and still waiting on payment from @TacoPretzel89 to ship. Other than that everyone should be good!
