Yes, 3qt low on tranny fluid.

I picked up the 2017 TRD OR DC 4x4 A/T back in August, i've put 1000 miles on it and it drives like crap. Hard shifts, not smooth, and slow has hell.

Anyway i finally took it in, and they added 3qt of tranny fluid to it.

I'll post the work order once i go pick it up here in a few.

WTF toyota? I'm the one that had the 2016 same truck but in manual that you replaced the full tranny in, and then never gave me an extended warranty. So i traded for 2017 auto...and now this! I'm so unhappy

Here's the story on my 2016 issues: (search fatchickonadiet)

and the fix they did: (search fatchickonadiet)

Yikes! Call corporate and try for extended warranty. There's no telling what damage has been done.

Shocking, well not really. This has been the worst new release of any vehicle I have ever seen.

How hard is it for the dealer to do a check of all fluids before selling a $30,000 dollar item???

Ha ha that's funny they still haven't fixed the crappy leaf spring garbage from the 2005 on. The tranny fluid might get fixed by 2020, this is my last Tacoma.

Before I take delivery next month, this will be a stipulation before I drive it off the lot, this is nonsense, I'm so disappointed in Toyota

Damn man.. Unbelievable. Giving extended warranties has to add up over time for Toyota. Why not just check the damn trucks before they're rolled out to the dealerships? :facepalm:I feel so bad for people who don't know about this issue...

I assume your transmission is now 2 quarts over filled. I don't think it came 3 quarts low from the factory.

Question: So how damaging is driving my truck at below 3/4 full tranny fluid (72%) when l live in an extremely hilly neighborhood and have pulled a boat for about 250miles?
