Somewhat cheap, easy to get ahold of. I was thinking junkyard motor but yotas in the junkyards near me don't last long. The engine I bought comes with a warranty, is out of a 4Runner, and should be a quick/painless swap

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
You call that damage? come on man! It's a 3.4, some JB weld and duct tape and it'll go another 300k.

In all seriousness that's some nasty carnage....

Yeah that's a jdm motor. It showed up exactly how it looks in the picture. All I did was pull it out of the taco with my forklift at work and unwrap the black cellophane it was covered with.

It looks like everything would bolt right in. It came with a harness on the engine that the seller cut, but I'm going to remove that and reuse my old harness. I'm also planning on pulling the intake manifold and using my old one, mostly because I want to make sure the fuel injectors are the same 4 hole ones I currently have and I'll have most the manifold apart anyways. I left the ac with the lines still attached in the engine bay so I'll have to put that on the new motor (that way I didn't have to drain/refill it). I did the same thing with my power steering pump. Everything else I'm planning on using what came with the new motor.

This is what the inside of the new jdm motor looked like when I pulled the intake manifold off

What would you guys do? Get a new engine from the same retailer? Send it back on sellers dime and have them refund you? Or run the engine with the rusty valves, rusty block, and standing water in the valley under the intake? There was more water standing in the valley than the motor I previously hydrolocked
