I've had a Mob Armor phone mount in my personal and work truck for years now. Unbeatable. Well worth the price.

Picked up a brand new ARB dual compressor for a smokin deal from a fellow TW member.

    Stripped the access cab interior

I made a stainless steel backing plate as I did not trust the plastic interior panel to be able to hold this pump by itself

    Bolted it up

Put the interior panel back in with the compressor mounted to it. I used the air hose from my old compressor to test it out. I have a new air chuck with gauge and air hose on order.

I ran out of available spots to put switches to the left of the steering wheel. So I broke out the dremel and made the switch fit into the only slot available below the AC controls. Came out good enough for me.
The wiring for the compressor runs behind the back wall interior panel then along the drivers side door sill. The ARB wiring harness is not long enough to reach the battery. So I cut off the the 2 inline fuses on the ARB harness and put them right next to the battery and ran 2 10 gauge power wires and 1 10 gauge ground wire thru the firewall and connected it back up to the ARB harness.

Best part about this whole mod...is the speed of this pump. 1 minute 20 seconds to go from 18 psi to 35 psi on a 35 inch tire. Gotta love that!!

Got the ARB tire inflation hose kit and tire inflator today. Now done with a very expensive tire airing up setup...but well worth it considering how quickly in inflates my 35 inch tires. Because we all know when its the trip is over we just want to get the fuck on the road and get home!

65k miles on the truck and found out that the inner tie rods have seen better days...lots of play in and out and loose as hell. Decided to swap out the outer tie rods as both of them had ripped boots but other than that they still were decent but might as well go all new while i'm in there.
Of course its never a complete job until you have to go to the auto parts store twice. Bought the inners from Vatozone and the outers from Napa as vatozone did not have any in stock. Got home and test fitted the outers to the inners and they were loose as hell. Turns out the inners had threads that were m15x1.5 and the outers were m16x1.5...wtf why!!! So back to auto zone to return the inners and back to Napa to purchase their inners and all was well and just added about an hour to the days work. Job was a piece of cake took about 1 1/2 hours to get it completely done. I didn't need any special tools as I was able to get the inners off with the tools I had. Steering feels much much more solid and some random noises I had been hearing in the front suspension is gone.

    left and right sides

Some videos of how sloppy the inners were. The new ones were almost impossible to move by hand so you can get the idea how loose these were.

After 4+ years of whining that @tcBob hated me. He finally gave in to the fact that he loves me. The ever elusive tacomaworld.com sticker finally shows up!!!
