I saw this post and the image of Datsik's truck and they track, but I know when I ordered the reference is now to Baja Design's S2 flush mount, which appears to have a four-hole pattern (but I can't find mounting specs or template for the flush mount design). Have you changed the cutouts? I want to pick out some lights, but could use a bit better info before I shell out $$. Thanks!

I've used the built in hitch to tow several times and trust it as much as the stock hitch. Getting rid of the stock anchor is great, less weight, more clearance and a better solution for the wiring harness.

For starters I feel like with a flip up plate a cop in my area could take that as reason to stop me while hauling my boat. And you know I'll probably have at least a beer or two while fishing.

I don't like that you have to reach up & under to pin it in.

And it's not rated. I know that it's built like a brick shit house but if anything ever happened and someone found out you were towing on an unrated hitch on the highway.

I don't off-road much. I don't need the extra clearance. I don't want to have to get a drop hitch to get me back down to normal hitch height. And the 35lbs that the stock hitch probably weighs doesn't make a difference to me.

Don't get me wrong it's clean and it looks good. Moving the trailer plug up to the bumper is a big plus. Just not for me in it's current config.

Will the stock skid plate on a 2014 TRD OR still fit with this bumper installed?

It should. The install instructions for the bumper say you may need to modify some tabs on he stock skid though.

From the instructions "Factory skid plates may need tabs trimmed for installation. "

I had to trim off the entire front portion that curves upward. Pretty easy with a sawzall if you don't care about clean straight lines. Probably 10 minutes max with a cut off wheel to make it look nice.

My rear swingout should be getting here anytime now! I've never used rotapax before.. is it just a standard mount that I'll need to get to screw into the plate on the bumper?

Anybody know if you can fit a 33" spare under the bed in the factory spare tire mount with the rear standard plate? Does it free up more space since it gets rid of the factory hitch?

I don't know if it will change the front though since it's the factory cable holding it it will still probably be to close on the front side of the tire.

    No idea though just saying..
