I'd rather have a dealership check it manually, then it will be documented that it was low from the factory (as mine was).

I took mine in Saturday for the update. So far it has fixed all issues! My truck drives so much better! It feels like it has much more power and response to the gas pedal. Before it would lag behind when putting the pedal down. Now it accelerates as soon as I push the gas down, as it should, and no gear hunting! Love it!

Correction. Try post 25 for both transmissions.

    AC60F - 4x4
    AC60E - 2x4

    No problem.

Just had the update applied to mine today. Drives like a totally different truck, the new flash actually makes it fun to drive!

Has anyone had any luck having the dealer apply this to 2017 tacomas?

I took my 2017 TRD Sport in for the TSB, and also had them manually check the transmission fluid. They said I already had the TSB update and also said my fluid was fine, but others told me they probably didn't actually check the fluid level as the dealer has to have it for several hours.

So, 2016 trd sport 4x4 Tacoma purchased new in April 2016
Just got the tsb done. Truck drives completely different
Pedal is way firmer so flooring it now takes real intent (I like it)
Truck feels a tiny bit sluggish but I'm sure it'll improve after a few hundred miles where the truck learns my style again. He did a lot of work on my truck, they had it for 3 days
Got my 15k service, got my breaks replaced. Got alignment done to get rid of a clunk that started on the front right side (they said my LCA was hitting my skid plate)
Steering feels waaayyy tighter now which I'm undecided on how I feel about that, and the truck got a new head unit update (already had the first one that came out)

I'll report back once I've driven the truck more but I will say my mileage went down from 16-18mpg in town down to 12-14mpg

I have ...mine was done back in December I believe. Is the trans perfect ? No, but I leave this sucker in drive all the time ,no S4 or Ect and i think the truck just keeps getting better. I'm at 5500 miles

I did mine both ways; didn't make a difference during temp/fluid check.

I think the trick with these is going to turn out to be: buy them with 80K miles on them so us poor schmucks that bought them new already dealt with the problems and had Toyota square them away and get them into production quality.

Why did they replace the brakes? Did you have the buzzing/pulsating brake issue too?

Brakes got really noisy and then started being an issue of stopping where I was almost standing on the pedal to stop even at slower speeds

That's weird. Never heard of brake issues like that.
