Bilstein 5100 install problems

    hey, hope someone can help. I have a 2013 tacoma 4x4. Bought a Bilstein 5100 kit. It's supposed to give 2.5" of lift but after install ended up with about 6" of lift and the upper control arms are hitting the springs. What did I do wrong?

    using stock springs, went down the the lowest notch on the shock and still about 5" higher than it was stock

    Compare your bottom spring perch to the ones pictured in that thread above, willing to bed its upside down. Also post a clear pic of your shock/coil so we can see

    The bottom cup is installed properly but it seems as tho the upper arm is stuck between the coils on the spring, nfc how that happened but is the truck currently on jack stands or is is sitting on the ground?

    Yeah, I'd check that first if you have stock coils. Might be the wrong 5100s.

    if not stock coils and you set them at 2.5 then you'll be a lot higher
