Entune Bluetooth and Phone Greyed out

I have a 2014 Toyota Tacoma the bluetooth just greyed out and every time I try to turn it on it just says waiting for Bluetooth, I just got off the phone with Toyota and they said that my Entune requires an update. Is there a way to update it without taking it too the dealership? I tried unpairing the devices, unhooking the batter and the swdl.iso on a thumb drive. The Toyota Dealership wants too charge me 120 an hour for diagnostics and then another 120 just for the firmware update. Thank you for your time.

 

For some reason my Bluetooth and phone apps in my 2015 Highlander are now greyed out. This occurred after my daughter connected her phone. Now we cant get anything to connect. Any advice besides getting a new car? Literally read and re-read the manual for over 2 hours last night. It's like Bluetooth in the car got turned off somehow and no one seems to know anything about it. Is it true iPhone 8 and the Entune don't like each other?

 

Hey man I recently had the same problem. if you turn on your car and look at the radio system, you will see a phone with a red line over it. tap on that and it will give the option to delete a phone number. you. can't have more than 5 devices paired. hope this helps!

Updated the Entune in my '15 from this site with a flash drive (make sure it's blank) and the very detailed instructions.

I had this same issue, but since I was under warranty, had dealer dio it.

If you decide dealer route, try rebooting your phone or possibly resetting it. Dealer will blame the phone 1st.
