    Before I go buy, are there a n particular headlamp halogen bulbs that come anywhere near matching white/blue color is threw DRL LEDs?

    i gotcha. Thanks. Maybe ill check out those LED's. Thanks for the heads up.

    i know that silverstar also has an XD bulb which looks to be bluer than the others, but might be too blue

    I'd stay away from LED lowbeams unless you want to blind everyone else and have less visibility than stock.

    H11 to H9 modification for your low beams. This will yield the most light output from a halogen bulb, without risking any harm to your stock light wiring harnesses.

    Go HID or retrofit if budget permits.
    Trust me, I tried the Sylvania Silverstars and the color difference and output from stock was marginal at best. I did see Sylvania offers a “ZXE” line that advertises “Crisp, white light - the look, feel and attitude of HID” but it’s just a blue tinted bulb.

    I'm using Philips Diamond Vision halogen bulbs. Can see the difference in link. Can't tell from the pictures/angle but they are pretty close to matching the DRL.

    What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

    thanks all. I think i am going to stick with halogens at least until the mfr warranty is up on my truck.

    I've done this on my wife's T4R and my WRX, takes 10min. Huge improvement!! Stick with Osram Nightbreakers or basic Sylvania/Phillips bulbs, skip the blue crap like Silverstar. Colored bulbs actually have LESS light output.
