    Dealer replaced rear springs and added weight to steering wheel to satisfy tsb. Reduced most of the vibration! Nice to drive a truck that feels new as opposed to one that felt like it had 200000 miles on it. Does Anyone know the difference between stock springs and the replacements?

    Weight to the steering wheel, sounds like a Band Aid fix to me.

    See thread from Murrayb4 12/7/16 He posted a pdf that describes the procedure and shows the "damper". The truck still vibrates slightly but is much better. I agree with the band aid comment.

    I thought the TSB was for 2016 only? I added the steering damper myself this past weekend, and it helped significantly. You have had your springs replaced also? Hmmm.

    The TSB was updated to include most '17s. They measure the angle of the differential to determine if it needs to be addressed.

    @pjensen641
    By chance do you have the part number and possibly a write up on that damper? I may try again to get the dealer to do it, but so far no luck.... if not I may go your route with my 2WD TRD sport

    @pjensen641 I'm also curious. I've got a 2wd Sport and am wanting to try the damper.

    The part number for the damper is in the vibration TSB thread in the sticky. Find the PDF in the first post. The part is about $27 or so.

    You just have to remove the air bag, and then follow the instructions on the TSB. I didn't replaces the screws as it says ion the TSB, I just used a dab of blue loctite upon installation.

    Here is a thread on how to remove the air bag (and later the clock spring, but you aren't going in that far). Its for a 2nd Gen, but it seems to be the same for the 3rd gen. The only nerve wracking part is disconnecting the air-bag connectors. You want to disconnect the battery and leave it set for several minutes. There is a small yellow locking tab that you pry up first, then you pry the connector out.

    Yeah, I was done at "You just have to remove the air bag,". Not screwing with that.
