I know Jibbs is running km2s but the coopers will definitely fit on stock.

Thanks! I appreciate the links and suggestions. I've been reading/searching through this thread, that thread and several others. Was looking for more first hand experience/evidence before I pulled the trigger on the purchase I suppose. I'm still wondering if any massaging will be necessary to fit and stuff these- hard to believe they'll fit. I PM'd another TW member and they agreed- should fit no rubbing/no issues. We'll see... I just ordered 5 of them in 255/85/16! WOOOOT! :dancingbacon:

Tread comparison, BFG KO2'S (37,000 miles) and brand new Cooper ST Maxx. Both 265-75-16. They get mounted tomorrow, can't wait to get the BFG's off the truck.IMG_20171119_105956784.jpg IMG_20171119_105616516.jpg

    piddly stuff
I did, I liked them in a 255 better than the lighter 285's I'd had. For a 4cyl the only woe was the weight. The E rated 255's with aluminum wheels were 87 pounds apiece

As much as I love the look of these tires, I must say if the Duratracs were an 8/10 in the snow these would be a 7/10. I feel the truck slide a little bit more. Maybe it’s just the huge dumps we’ve had lately, or maybe it’s me just getting used to winter driving again. Anyone else feel the same? I did go from a 285/75/16 to a 295/70/17 so the width maybe a factor as well.

A guy should get a set of studded 255’s for winter. I think they would be a good move.

Yes, 255 ST Maxx’s with studs would probably be a good option. Or 33” Duratracs with studs. I’m just surprised how much these slide around without studs. I put 200lbs of sandbags in the box even lol

New 265/75/16 are on. Just a few miles on them so no big review yet. My initial impression is very positive, especially compared to the KO2'S .

The ride quality is the first thing that I noticed, still E load firm, but much improved over my old E rated KO2'S. The KO2'S we're very sharp and aprupt when driving over pot holes, the St Maxx has a more compliant feel to it, big improvement.
Tire noise is no issue, very quiet at all speeds. I'm sure they will get louder with wear as do all tires.
The St Maxx handles the same as the KO2'S, no big change there.

That's it for now, until I get some more miles on them. In a couple of weeks I have a few trips planned so I should get some trail time on them.

I was curious about the mpg difference with the Cooper's, they are a few pounds heavier and more aggressive than the KO2'S. Well it makes no sense to me but I have seen an almost 1 mpg gain with the Cooper's, running same psi (32f & 30r).

    Never enough
These two pictures were taken the same day only a few hours apart. Snow pic approximately 11am at around 11,800 feet. Dirt pic at around 3pm somewhere near 9,600 feet. What a difference some altitude makes. The Coopers did great in the snow.
