Done, install went smooth. I also epoxied a usb wireless charger to the front of my ram mount for wireless charging. Very happy with the product sir.

Is that an @XPOTRPR switch panel? Did you guys ever figure out how to properly wire the hazards switch?

Yes it works, you just tie into the yellow and red wire with a switched ground and you have to keep the stock hazard switch plugged in and stashed behind the stereo. Works like a champ.

I love that switch panel and taking advantage of that wasted real estate.

I’ve been thinking about how to install an LCD screen there so I could have a digital thermometer or a compass instead of the non sense entune that’s on my 15’. I don’t think it should be to hard to piece together all of the components but my programming skills kinda suck so I guess I’d better practice lol.

I received the mounts super quick after payment - even across country. The mounts are real nice Lostsheep, thanks a bunch.

I spent about two hours mounting them, it was the first time taking apart my dash, so I went somewhat slow, but it was very simple. I pretty much followed the instructions in the first post, with no issues except breaking one of the tabs on the AC panel. The good news is these mounts will keep it in place no problem. I need to finalize the placement of my devices, but this is such a better solution than I was previously running.

Mission accomplished. Installed. Now just waiting for my Ram attachments from Amazon and my Baofeng holster from that dude in Tucson. Install went relatively well, removing the center dash was quite daunting, but doable. I lost one of those yellow dash clips down the abyss of the inner dash, so I used a clip from the coin holder tray. It all buttoned up real nice. Very sturdy for mounting whatever I’ll throw at it.

    Thanks again to the OP!!!

This is the very reason why I love my Tacoma, the community that it has created, the innovation of invention like these products!!

Yes, there has been some clearance issues with the backplates but everyone has been able to resolve them with minor sanding / trimming on the inside only.

Finally got mine installed today. Shipping time was incredibly fast to the east coast! Install times that I've seen posted are hopelessly optimistic for somebody with my experience level, but that just shows that it can be done by pretty much anybody. Over three hours start to finish with the quickest part being reassembly of the dash. After reading all the tips, I anchored the backplates with strips of duct tape before reassembling the dash.

I like it, I like it a lot. I've never really been happy with the DST but there's just not many good options for securing the backplate (and the backplate is definitely necessary for rigidity) for reassembly outside of drilling more holes.

As of right now I am out of completed sets. I do have some that are not anodized yet but not many and I don't like to take them in small batches because they always charge me the minimum lot charge so I need to take a lot to keep costs down. I have been getting a lot of requests for more and for the 3rd gen equivalent so I am going to run more but with the holidays it's going to be a couple of weeks at least.

Thanks again to all who have supported me here. You guys funded my rear pelfreybilt bumper and I'm most of the way to a regear also. You guys make me want to try and machine more of the random brackets I make for my own truck to try and generate more funds for mods.

Not that your offer isn't appreciated but I don't like to take money until I have something ready to ship. It drives me nuts when vendors do it to me, so I am not going to do it to any of you guys. I understand how tough it is to maintain an inventory for small vendors, but there is just something about what my grand-pappy taught me about customer service that I can't bring myself to do it.

I can appreciate that, it is uncommon practice these days.

I will definitely take a set when they are available!

Moar brackets! If there's one thing TW can't get enough of, it's mounting and storage points. I mean, all of TW, everyone, not just me, it's not just me I don't have a problem I can stop whenever I want.

How about some light bar mounts for the OEM roof rack? As the bar is slightly bowed, once you tighten these brackets to the crossbar they cam into place and lock themselves. F72D6ADF-A484-42E4-B1D9-A0E471E8DF3E.jpg85F0D788-CE70-4C48-802E-DA2AEADD2E08.jpg
