I am driving a 2008 DCSB. I had to pull off the foot, but that mounts below the Hi-Lift (not in any of the pictures, but you can see one of the mounting bolts). I use a 48" Hi-Lift. The real trick isn't the length (for me) but the depth. The wood helps act as a stop so that the lifting mechanism doesn't rub against the rear of the truck.

I did pull out the plastic organizer behind the seat to get it to fit.

Does anyone have a write up of mounting it in your bed?

What toolbox do you have? I have been looking for one to fit between and below the wheel wells.

Me too! Weathergard has some but they say only a couple fit with wheel wells and stuff. I want a good size one, because I carry a small shop in my pickup. Never know what or when you need something farming

It is a true struggle. I am very suprised these dimensions aren't common.

Here is the closest i have found but it sits 1" above the wheel wells.
