    Hi all,

I just traded in my 14 limited for an 18 TRD Pro. A couple things are bugging me. First of all, the halogen headlamps clash with the daytime LED running lights and LED fog lights. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as HID or LED headlamp kits go?

Secondly, my 14 limited had the JBL audio (which was sweet). The 18 Pro's audio is lacking, to say the least. What are my best options for upgrading the sound?

    Thanks!

Kinda late to say it but the 2019 Pro has JBL standard lol. BTW no aftermarket HID or LED that is good or last long enough for a our Tacomas yet. BTW welcome to TW

I know, bummer! Problem is mine got off the truck the day the 19s were announced. My dealer went through hell to get it, couldn't do that to them :)

I have JBL's in my 16. As good as the sound is, they did not make this truck around better audio systems. Every bass hit will rattle the door controls, even stuff inside the door panel will rattle.

For audio your best bet is running an 5 channel amp 50x4 and 300x1 below driver seat component front 6x9 with tweeters and rear 6.5. Total cost 600$ if done yourself. Then you have that 5th channel if you ever decide to run a sub

Maybe its so loud you dont hear it? I dont know, I have had it looked at a dozen times, Toyota got it fixed putting felt tape in the door window controls, but it was deemed a fire hazard and it blocked the control lights.

I agree the sound system is lacking. I just ordered the 500Q OEM+ audio system, but it will take a couple of weeks to get here.

Whoah, that looks sweet. Installation included or is it DIY?

DIY They have videos here so you can decide if it's something you want to do. It doesn't seem difficult at all.

    for hid's here's my best recommendation: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hyluxtek-hid-kit-with-cnlight-ball-bulbs.457461/

read the thread and i think it's right for you.

re: sound, well, what's your budget? I've got more invested in my audio than most, but that's not for everyone. you can do a significant and easy fitting upgrade with ********* and other kits. or just upgrade some speakers... up to you.

nice black one btw, mine's a debadged white MT. welcome and enjoy that beauty.
