I know this has topic has been beat t death for 31 straight pages, but here we go again!

I've got a 99 2.7l extra cab 4wd Tacoma, 33x10.5 tires, with a CBI front bumper + Warn M8000 winch and a few aftermarket round lights plus 2 tiny light pods in the bumper. 3/16 inch steel square tube sliders, home made and welded to the frame, Roof rack with tire on it (Yakima), shell on the back. Will be adding steel armor underneath soon (just have to find the time/way to get them from Cali since they are already free from a friend!).

My current setup is 5100's with stock coils and All Pro UCA. I plan to upgrade my coils with OME, but am wondering if i should get the 8500 or is the weight of the bumper winch and armor going to be enough to warrent the 886. What do yall think?

Don't have a decent picture on hand, i'll get one later to post in here.

Would 885’s be appropriate for a 4 cyl Access Cab? Haven’t found much info for the weight difference of the 2.7. I would like to get close to 3” of lift, but don’t want to go over as I prefer not to get new UCA’s at this point. Are the 885’s alright for this application or should I go with 884?

I would go with 884, and get them assembled with longer studs. That way if you still desire more height, you can add a 1/4" or 1/2" spacer as appropriate to fine tune the height.

Thanks for the quick reply. My frame replacement just came in, faster than expected. Now I’m in a rush to get the parts, want to take advantage of the free labor.

No problem, and enjoy the new frame. Mine's got one that's less than a year old, and I love it.

I am thinking of doing the same exact setup, but... do you have any issues with vibrations, VSC issues, thinking of an ecgs mod, anything?

Only vibes I've had so far are from a bad tire. I haven't done my ECGS mod yet but will be soon enough just to get it out of the way. No VSC issues.

5100 installed with OME 885 at 0. Want to adjust to next level. Can the Blisteins be adjusted on the vehicle or must the strut and spring come off?

Bilsteins 5100 set at .085 Rear custom 1" add a leaf 265/70 R17 tires. Custom made aluminum tonneau cover with bike rack. 4x4 conversion with 4Runner transfer case.
They can’t. Take in consideration that you may pass 3” total lift if you set them at .85, UCA’s will be needed for alignment.

I wouldn’t recommend preloading the 885s. I’d either swap them for 887 or add a 1/4”-1/2” spacer on top.

Thinking about getting a 1" block for the rear. How does it ride? Do you offroad at all?

It rode like stock, and not really. Just the occasional fire trail. Nothing crazy. A block would be fine for that. I wouldn’t go over a 1” block, then you start to get into axle wrap and all. Over 1” and I would go with more leafs

How much higher is the front compared to the rear?

    Looks great!
