    Wait you have to be stopped to turn of the TC? Could have sworn I held and turned off when was rolling the other day on my way into an empty parking lot with fresh powder for scientific testing purposes.

    It is a multi-function button that is not explained well in the manual. Short presses do one thing, long presses do another. On top of that, it functions differently depending if you are in 2Hi, 4Hi, or 4Lo and between the SR / SR5 / Sports / Limited and OR / Pro models. Check out this sticky:
