I am looking for a good storage box to put stuff in when I go off-roading or camping. Something rain proof with o ring that can be tied down or locked down. I see the planto 1919 but was wondering if you guys found something better?

I want to get a Pelican 1660 but nobody will ship it to Alaska for a decent price.

Check military surplus they have similar pelican case like hardigg sometimes for cheap and look for company auctions and the like sometimes you will find cheap pelican cases. Or check Nanuk case out of Canada.

    Cheers

Contico Tuff boxes are amaze balls. I’ve got a couple. Most weather proof around and tough as nails.

    yep..
I have this same box. Looked at all the others and settled for this because it's just sub flush of the bed rails and made most of usable space. The only time it's let any water in was during a blizzard with 50 mph winds.. a handful of snow blew in. I doubt it would leak in the rain due to its design.

    None at the moment
Great info everyone, thanks! But I do have to ask, has anyone mounted these permanently in the bed and if so, how? I like having a tool box in the back of my truck but I don't want one that sits over the bed rails.
