So is it heated? I know you posted that back a couple weeks ago and the price was too rich for my blood, but someone mentioned they may be heated (which obviously changes the value)

I forget stuff like that all the time. It usually pisses me off enough that I tear it all back apart to either check that things are tight or just take a look.

I got mine form Amazon, here is an example. https://www.amazon.com/InstallGear-...d=1521212540&sr=8-4&keywords=12+volt+actuator

the actual hook up you can follow Master Builder mesojdm at this link.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/10-diy-power-lock-tailgate.424052/

I did the same thing he did, only different actuator, I could not find the one he used. Also, the black pad underneath
the actuator that you see in the picture, is just foam that I used to reduced noise when it operates.

    Good luck.

Looks good with the blue, I actually just ordered that kit to dechrome. @rrentrop do you plan on making anything to dechrome the 4 wheel drive knob next to push start? At first I thought the two rings for both but I saw the knobs are slightly different.

Damn that's a great idea! In NJ there are so many lazy mofos that can't take the time to stretch it to hang it on the gas door hinge. They just let that shit slam into the side and it drives me crazy w/ my black paint! :annoyed::smack:

The shape of the 4wd knob makes it very difficult to wrap using my vinyl. Others have used the spare start button decal to cover the chrome. It will result in wrinkles but you can wrap it in a way so that the wrinkles are on the bottom and not visible.

I haven't had time to come up with anything for the shifter, but I think you can easily wrap a strip of electrical tape around it with the seam towards the front so it isn't visible.

Ok, thank you Rich. I'll give that a shot with the spare, I'll probably put on my kit tomorrow.

Put in the Subaru Kicker Tweeters. Night and day sound and well worth it. Took 20minutes max.

Thanks! Haha most definitely would hate to damage it! I love these! 285/70/17 for the KO2s! I have a lift for sure! I put on Bilstein 6112 up front with the Bilstein 5160 in back with HD leaf pack! I got the kit from Headstrong! https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/s..._Kit_with_OME_Dakar_Leaf_Pack_(HS05BK-3).html

And I am rubbing like a mutha trucka up front, haha. So taking it in next week to chop it up!

Looking for a picture of the BPF front recovery hook installed with the 3rd gen TRD Pro skid. Was told that to mount a d-ring I need to cut a slot in the skid for the ring to clear. Want a visual before I make the purchase from BPF.

Small anti-scumbagwasteofskinthievingmagpie things, but big peace of mind:
SabellCo tailgate lock. Took almost 4 minutes to install.
Ordered a GunLok trigger lock to plug the spare tire release access hole (comes with pins to make a rectangle shape, no wiggle).
A marine-grade Abus padlock for the spare itself, should keep the road crud from clogging up the keyhole when I need it to open.
