You want a set. Better than Dakar for weight capacity, and ride under bload.

Tight fit, but got them on the axle. This angle was the only way I could get them to fit, so hopefully that doesn't present any issues.

Also found my coilbucket is starting to crack. Already have coil bucket gussets. Any suggestions? Thinking about grinding/welding it, but guessing I'll just keep chasing cracks until I find a more permanent solution.

You have a side shot showing how close your bump stop is to the LCA? I have a similar setup and I have about an inch of clearance there.

May be one in my build thread somewhere. But I may have even less than an inch before the lca hits the wheelers superbumps that I use. Not an ideal setup but those bumps are really soft and compress unbelievably flat. I actually had to shim mine down some so the shock wouldn’t bottom out at full stuff.

This is why Saint @jberry813 tells us to cycle suspension before putting in the shocks.

I've got bump travel left in the shocks, and I think in the bump stop, which I know (math is your friend) will be metal on metal before the shocks run out of travel.

But the UCA hits the shock tower somewhere in there, cycling and adjusting the UCA would have prevented this.

My understanding is it is a design issue with the Boxed DK.....atleast I read some other posts about it, that you end up having to install those straps or some shit to make it all work.

Not quite enough clearance at full stuff. Didn't happen until I put on the 12" rear shocks, and got extra travel out of the back, which translated to additional travel up front. Oddly i never touched the front bump stop until I got the 12" rears.

I think they tested it with a stockish rear, and/or they dialed in less camber to make it clear. I'm running -1deg for better cornering.

My solution will involve clearancing the shock tower.

And to be clear, I don't blame @Dirt King Fab at all, I'm trying to wring every inch of travel possible out of a mid-travel front end; both thier sales folsk and engineers have been fantastic in helping with that.

I know they goofed with the LCAs. My alignment is fucked now. Nothing a little cutting and welding won't fix.

What's wrong with your alignment? I had no trouble making the switch.

Not enough adjustment in my UCAs to get lower than 1* positive camber, and caster is already at 1.6*. If I try to get camber closer to zero, I lose even more caster. Essentially the LCAs are longer than the stockers, and also seems like the Uniball cup is more rearward than stockers.
I did not actually measure to be truthful. But I made no other changes other than swapping out the LCAs. Previous alignment numbers were 0 camber and 2.6 and 2.7* caster.

Interesting, I had exactly the opposite result. I got a degree of caster, and negative camber.

We need to get some laser measuring tools and get real data on the tolerance on our frames. I suspect it's a 1/4" or more.

ETA, do you have TC alignment tab gussets? I think they give a little more range.

I did gusset my cam tabs. Seeing as how the holes are the same size, and the cams are factory, I do not see how the gussets could add adjustment range.

But you have DK UCAs also, and I have Icon. So I could see that as a reason for our differences.

When I did my TC gussets the hole in the gusset was a bit bigger than the one on the OEM tabs, matching the hole in the frame. So I got some additional adjustment rangre.

Where are your lca's in regards to alignment? Are you able to push the uca out more with the heims and be able to get the alignment in spec still with the lca's?

And were your shock towers bent before this, or did this bend them?

My alignment numbers got better with the DK LCAs. I have the Camburg giant uniball UCAs, so that could be a factor.
