Got my bumper today, only three small dents and a blemish on the top of the hoop... not too bad. I only got one small box of bolts and washers and the bolts seem kind of small to hold this thing on though!!

^^ Good to know. I have some Kore reinforcements on the way so that will take care of holding the weight. Would upgrading to adjustable 5100 shocks set on the second or third notch fix the sag? Or do you have to upgrade springs?

I have bilstein 5100's set at the lowest setting and ome 885x coils. I have the bumper and a smittybilt 10k x20 comp and It sagged a bit lower than I wanted so I'm gonna order ome 886 coils next month and swap them out.

So moving the shocks up one setting wouldn’t help the sag or it would compensate for the sag but you are wanting to eliminate the sag?

I am fine with just compensating for the sag I know I could just put a spacer in there to compensate but I am probably due for some new shocks and I’d like to have the adjustable 5100’s in case I do upgrade springs later.

Other issue is I don’t want to get into having to do a diff drop and spacer or AAL in the rear right now. Did you do anything with the rear or diff when u added the 885’s?

I had to crank my coilovers a bit when adding this bumper.

I think you're supposed to keep the 5100s at the lowest setting when using the ome coils because they are lift coils. I'm not 100% sure though. I'm gonna switch to the 886 for a stiffer ride and more lift.

I added a deaver 1.5" aal in the rear and 5100's when I did the front. No diff drop. Cv boot fins are touching but I'm not worried about it.

I was told by a tacomaworld genius in a thread somewhere that you can actually get away with 887's on bilstein 5100's. but always keep them at the lowest setting.

You can change the 5100 setting with stock coils. NOT with aftermarket coils, need to be at 0 for aftermarket lift coils. Shocks don't lift the suspension, springs do.

I also have 5100/885 in front and Deaver AAL/5100s rear. And now with SPC LR uppers. No diff drop junk or any of that other silly stuff. No vibes either, so why would I buy it?
I want this bumper, but I haven't decided if all the associated risks and addition of frame plates are worth it. Nowhere local at all that could touch up the powder coat should it arrive looking like poopdick

My bumper came perfectly fine. The frame reinforcement plates aren't required but is recommended when using a Winch. No problem for the few guys that I know who don't have reinforcement plates that also use winches. I just want to be sure that my bumper won't rip off if I have to use my winch in any type of recovery.
