10-12 psi and E85 and full exhaust = 400 wheel hp on a frs...

So I would think it would the same would be on the 4.0 and add engine management...

    around $8000 to start....

I think for clarification, the question was always, how to get 400 crank hp, not 400 wheel hp, was it not?

I'm similar to Murphinator with a 2015 4.0 taco with the TRD blower, AFE cai, 2.7 quick change pulley, 320gph fuel pump, TRD cat back, URD long tube headers and the OV tune with slightly raised rpm limiter as well as shift improvements, lean out slightly at shifting and eliminating the speed limiter.

Back in Feb in Phx at 1500' elevation and 50 degrees the digital boost gauge showed 9.5 lbs of boost. I'm guessing at that time it was close to 400 CRANK hp. With the latest OV tune, and replicating the elevation in Phx and 50 degree temps I'm guessing it MAY be 415+ CRANK hp.

400 rear wheel hp is a whole nother critter and I don't think any of us with a TRD blower and accompanying mods are expecting that. Maybe 350-365 or so at best. That's going to be in the neighborhood of 450 crank hp and I'm not sure how reliable that will be over time? I may try a 2.5 pulley once at the track this coming winter just to see what the mph is, but would not plan on running it every day for sure at lower elevation, though I do live up at 6500 ft elevation.

Would you opt not to run a small pulley at low elevations based on afr's? Or level of boost? Or both?

My AFR's with the TRD tune would run 14.65 at cruise, but terribly rich at WOT before shifting around 9.5 no matter if I was in Phx or up at 6500'.
The OVtune after a couple of tries has cleaned that WOT AFR to 10.65, and cruise still at the 14.65.

If I lived in Phx my concern would be running the additional 2-3 lbs of boost all the time with a 2.5 pulley and then the additional heat that lower elevation would bring, especially with the thought I'm going to try and get 200,000 miles out of this rig.

While I might throw a 2.5 pulley and the shorter belt on for a hero run at the dragstrip next winter, all I have to consider is the cost to replace an engine for another 30hp and that additional engine strain every day and my current setup with the 2.7 pulley feels pretty comfortable. Being able to swap out the pullies with the quick change setup though is a plus!

I agree on the big picture. No poppin' pistons. I so rarely use WOT and with methanol for extra cooling I think I have a safe-ish realm with 2.6 or 2.5. Key phrase, safe-ish& think.

I just went to the drags. There was 10 people there. I drove 20 min there. No cool down time. Hot lapped it 12 times down the 1/4 mile lol. Running the 2.6 pulley, trd tune only with fpr mod and urd fuel pump upgrade. Boost was around 10psi. And air fuel was low 11 to high 10’s. Blowing way to much hot air tho. But safe enough for me. Just need to cool the air now. Gonna get a meth kit. And Probly save up for a killer chiller.

14.4 at 100mph was the fastest. No burn out and couldn’t launch it. Would just burn the tires.

That's nuts that it runs 12's from the factory I mean I guess if I'm dropping that much dough on a brand new range rover I'm not gonna complain if it runs like that...

    It moved.... supercharged?

If so, im pretty sure the coolant pump is the same bosch we have. Rover, ford, some mercs, and us all come up when u cross reference the ACTUAL bosch part # for the coolant pump.

Are you using sprint booster and 76mm TB? How much better takeoff do you get with that combo?
