    When I first got in my truck after putting on the 285s it did feel a little sluggish.

    That went away within a couple days and it feels totally normal now.

    Here is a really great thread for the Maxtrac spindles. Id suggest going with Dakar leaf packs and Bilstein B110 extended rear shocks.

    One more ???? My truck has the factory 16's wheels now. I bought new 17's Tacoma take offs I think from a 2017, will they have enough backspace? Or was it wasted $$$$$

    Hmmm, without knowing the specific model wheel and its specifications it's hard to say.

    I ran my stock 17" TX Edition wheels with my spindle setup for a while with no issues.

    Depending on what backspacing those have, you may need a small wheel spacer.

    That being said, I have seen guys run a 16" wheel with the spindles.

    Try asking in that thread I linked. There's members in there that have more knowledge than me on that subject.
