What's the final torque on the ball joint? 110? 120? Found a few references

 

45ft#'s for ball joint to spindle, then tighten as needed to line up cotter pin

 

30hrs later and I'm finally done rebuilding my front end including my new jbas

That seems high. I went with 81 ft lbs

Edit: rear u-bolt nuts should be 57 ft lbs

 

Ubolts torque to 85ft#'s. Must be torqued twice, first is just installed torque, second is after test drive torque. If not torqued to this spec, you can experience rear end vibration.

 

Should be done while vehicle is on the ground as well right Brother?

 

First torque no, doesn't need to be, just need weight on the axle, like a jack under the pumpkin or jack stands. Second torque after test drive yes, wheels need to be on the ground.

So i got my UCA’s installed and I took the old brake line bracket and put them on the JBA’s but for some reason the break line doesn’t fit back into the clamps. Anyone else have this issue? Is there a different bracket that will work? Thanks

And what's ideal caster. I've seen 2.5 up to 3+.

On 265/76/16 but going 285/17 next

 

Ideal caster, 3.5* +/- 0.5*, camber and toe to factory spex
