    Too much.
But the tweeter can't be flush mounted, that's why I didn't go there. The Focal US 690 (universal) has a different tweeter that can be, but it's deeper than what I want to put in sail panel.

I put the tweeters in the dash, and also tried them sitting on the dash, firing at me. I ended up leaving them in the dash where the factory tweets are. They reflect fine off the windsheild.

Yeah, I've actually already done all that (see my build). I'm just changing to a real passive matched system from my hodge-podge set up

    I was able to
I think we are on the same page...I used all the factory wiring and installed the supplied passive inline module (size of 20 dimes) in front of the tweeter. Replaced all speakers in the truck and it sounds correct. But theres still the issue of mounting the tweets in the sails. Good luck! FWIW, i got the oem audio system in my taco and it is sweet.

I have Morel tempo ultra 692. Best set I’ve heard yet. I flush mounted the tweeters in the a pillars for better imaging on my 3rd gen. They are also 299$ on crutchfield which is a steal. Make sure give them minimum 100rms.

Do you have a picture of them in the a pillars? I mounted mine in the stock dash location and think it can sound better.

I looked at the sail panels but I think it’s too shallow.

Yes I will post a couple pics. And I also installed mine in the factory location and I was not happy. I used a 1 3/4” hole saw if I remember correctly. Also adjust your tweeter setting to +3 and see if that makes a difference first.

Ya, they are rated for 140rms. I wouldn’t be surprised if they can take more than that.

I'm going to run them at the 85 first. My amp bridged @ 4Ohm is 250 watts RMS.....

85 will be okay. Just your gains will need to be turned up higher. Static shouldn’t be an issue, Arc audio makes a good product.

My gains were set using an oscilloscope to match the head unit. I set the gains with the volume setting at 52. I'm going to leave that alone.

Ron, looks like you got your morel 6x9 set in. How’s the mounting depth / clearance with the front windows down? I’m debating making the switch to them from a set a 6.5” Maximo ultras.

I'm actually in the middle of creating a new thread describing them. I installed with the windows down, and there is room. And they boom, and I don't even have them on their crossovers yet, but they are being powered..

I have been looking at the alpine x series. Either that or I was going to consider a set of Focal 3 ways
