If you are looking for aftermarket bumper options for your first gen Toyota Tacoma, and want a DIY option to add a touch of customization or just avoid high aftermarket prices, check out Flatland 4x4's DIY Tacoma Front Winch Bumper Plans!

We distribute CAD and PDF drawings that enable you to cut and weld your own front winch bumper to enhance the functionality of your rig. Whether you have a plasma table, cut by hand, or prefer to have a local shop cut it for you, our drawings will take the design work out of your next project.

I highly recommend this bumper kit. I have purchased other bumpers costing me $1000+ and this one cost me less than half price. Most welding shops that have the plasma table will accept his file and can cut this bumper out for cheap (cost me around $150 or steel and cut out labour )
After that it's just a matter of welding it! I had a friend do it on a Saturday. I added fog light and the pre runner bar

Interested in this kit -- are there any instructions on how to make the hoops? I don't see them as part of the CAD drawing.

So how are you supposed to reach to to access the shift lever for the free-spool clutch?

Hey Exportexp, Contacted the company and they said they don't have any at the time for 2nd gens. We are to check back at a later time.. in the meantime, if anyone here wants to sell their plans, message me and I would buy them! No need to worry to copy exactly yours, I'll play with it, I mostly only want the major measurements. Cheers, Jeremy

Just finished mine last week! This bumper was easy to make and I am beginner welder to begin with. This bumper was alot of fun, I learned alot building it, and it transformed the look of my first gen.

Well done @WrappedTacoBro! I'm waiting on a friend to finish a few little projects and I'll be starting my 2nd gen Taco front bumper project. I'll try to make a template and I would most likely be willing to sell it. I'll do a thread once I'm starting it.

Anyone actually mount a winch in one of these? I'm building one now and I'm trying to mount a superwinch lp8500. If anyone has some pics of their set up please put up some pics.

Is this bumper a bolt on or does it get welded to the frame?
