So I pulled the blower to change it's oil, & replace the plugs after 65k the plugs looked real good, but replaced them anyway. & I dumped the oil into a measuring cup. The oil was mostly clear but only 3-4 ounces came out?

    Is that normal?

In the maintenance thread it says 5-6 ounces? I put 5 ounces back.

Before I moved up to the twin, I had the small ARB compressor mounted to the side of an AFE. I used the little mounting plate that the ARB came with as a backer inside the box, but I doubt I needed it. The AFE is pretty sturdy.

    I think you’d be fine.

There is a oil quantity check plug on the front. With the truck level pull the plug until oil is just oozing out.
20180225_173422.jpg Its the allen bolt just to the right of the pulley.

Yes that’s normal. Toyota calls for 5 ounces but most are only seeing 4 from factory. But as roostfactor mentioned, make sure the truck is leveled and fill until it slowly ozes out of that Allen screw fill hole. I was able to get 5 ounces back in.

Completely agree the hardest part of the install was those connectors. 10 mins after I finished the install I read somewhere in a thread “do not over tighten the hose clamp on the pump or it will swell and leak”.
I knew that I did as I always do, 4 years later and no issues yet..fingers crossed

Exactly. Definitely do it on flat ground. Most driveways are sloped up toward the house and you'd end up with way too much fluid in it. Or not enough if you park backwards!

We tried pushing it together when pressing the buttons and then pulling apart. I also blew it out with a can of compressed air and tried tapping it with a screw driver. It just doesn’t want to release. We’ve done it before on my truck, but this particular fitting is ‘special’.

That connection was definitely the worst part of the mod. I used these small picks to get in the connector and free up each side
