So for whatever reason I've always had the worst luck with phone mounts. Either they won't stay in place on the windshield or dash or they won't swivel/adjust or the vent ones won't stay in place (they sag or droop).

Anyone have recommendations for good phone mounts that work well with the Tacoma? Either windshield mounts that stay put or dash or vent mounts that actually work well. I need ideas..

    Thanks!!!

Is not cup holder, is vent holder, but is very very stable and at the right level with ease of access

I don't like the phone installed on the left side of the steering wheel, it's 1) exposed to rain if you open door
2 ) difficult to control with left hand
    3) far from the charger port
    4) strong reflection of the screen on the side window

I agree with the first two points, but for the charger you can either install your own usb port on that side, or run a long cable under the dash to that side.

On the left side, I would install something with electric gauges , or anything that give you some information but I don't need to control with my hand.

RAM mount on A-pillar. Like a man with a sore wang, it can’t be beat.

Not exposed to the rain either. Ram mount can be rotated right next to the windshield.

I have a Mophie battery case on my phone that uses wireless qi charging. Mophie offers a vent mount magnet wireless charger, so I bought that and located it to the right of the wheel.
    http://www.mophie.com/shop/docks/charge-force-vent-mount-1
It worked great for the first summer except that it blocked the AC from blowing on me from that vent.
That winter however I had alot of issues with this setup. I keep my trucks heat set on the windshield/floor setting, however there is still a smaller Mount of hot air that comes out the dash vents. This was causing my phone and charger to overheat and not charge till it cooled down.

I bought a tech deck from Birddog on here.
    http://www.birddawgindustries.com/tech-deck.html
It's intended to mount ram mounts and such under the radio. I took the rubber vent mount and slid it on the tech deck and it works great. Easily in reach, can use it as a GPS, short charging cable needed.
Here is a pic of my phone case on the holder(needed the phone to take the pic)

    I’m
Short. And when I had it in the A pillar. With a phone , pillar and wing mirror ... it could hide a car. So I prefer the middle
