Stolen tailgate

Hey TW crappy day for me. I just walked out of work to the sight of my tailgate missing. If anyone sees anything on Craigslist or eBay while you’re looking for truck parts I would really appreciate it if you gave me a heads up.

Blue ribbon metallic is the color and it has a black Tacoma emblem

Did you have any of the multiple TW anti theft mods? Hose clamp, steel cable, etc.

I hope you are able to find a replacement at minimal cost, and are able to prevent it from happening again!

 

It happened in Montclair. I had I hide clamp on it and I epoxied the top of the screw so you couldn’t unscrew it. And it was facing downwards.

 

Did they just drill out the clamp? Was the clamp in the vicinity of the truck when you realized it was taken?

 

I looked around for he clamp but couldn’t find it.

They probably did use a pair of dikes or tin snips cause there weren’t any scratch marks

 

Damn, I have the clamp but still keep my tail gate locked.

 

=( . They probably scoped it out before. I will have to upgrade mine as well but my tailgate isn't pretty. When I get a new one I'll have to add more security to it.

 

Yeah my thoughts exactly. He most likely scoped it out prior. Bastard must have really wanted it. That hose clamp was on there snug. Plus it was raining that morning.

 

If they only made these for trucks!

two of my coworkers had their tailgates stolen as well....same area. I keep mine locked all the time.

 

Probably the same scumbag. Did they have second gens as well?
