I’ve been debating whether or not to get a new truck. Currently have a 2nd Gen reg cab, which I would keep. But the lure of having an automatic transmission for my daily driving is strong. Ideally, I’d get another 4 cylinder with 4x4. I know these little engines and what they can do. And since single cabs are a thing of the past I’d go with an Access Cab.

My heart is with a really simple truck, and some of y’all have the perfect set-ups.

I don’t know, maybe I just want the new shiny thing, haha.

Ah, I see. Mine has been very good to me, only problems stemming from previous errors on my part, haha.

On my '18, everything on the front of the truck is black except for the "T" outline part of the Toyota emblem.

I just bought a 2.7 SR with the basic steel wheels that came with P245x75x16 tires. Are there any decent black rim options that would allow me to use these tires (they only have 50 miles on them). I am concerned about getting much heavier rims/tires based on what I have been reading here.

I have the same truck. For now, I only put on those $59 eBay plastic wheel covers. (The link is shown at the bottom of this page- "Products Discussed" I have actually gotten a couple of compliments on them from people who thought they were black wheels. They are not the greatest solution but for now, a big improvement IMO over those gray steel wheels.

Check the classifieds here. I see quite a few people selling their wheels that are in great shape.
You might have to be a little patient to find something that 'grabs you'.

Yes the auto repair shop I used switched the TPMS over to these alloy wheels. They just have to be rotated 160 degrees.

I bought this set of lug nuts also. The ones on the steel wheels will not work on the alloy wheels.

Edit: 3 months later and these have rust on the edges. :(

Can’t afford wheels yet. Made a bit of an impulse buy last night and ordered some black wheel skins for my stock steel wheels. Will I love them or hate them?? Pics if you got em!
