    Oahu, Hi
Anyway you can link me to a DC>USB? I tried searching on Amazon but got a bunch of different ones. Where does the DC plug into on the truck?

Also anyone looking for this camera its on sale at $36 after 10% coupon. Cheaper then when it was on lightning deals yesterday.

Sure! Here's the DC to USB that I have in my truck. It's plugged right next to the factory aux/usbport so it's nice and handy to have.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
At least your not lurking around the suspension or armors threads...that can get down right expensive. I had to unwatch a couple threads ;)

Hahaha...Yeah it seems most of the useful things you can put on/in a truck aren't that expensive.

Yup, that’s true for sure. A lot can be had for $20-40. I did some MESO interior lights and his change bucket. That’s was a sweet deal for the bang you get.
Check out Nebo flashlights, they make one that is cheap and has a cigarette adapter on the end of it. It’s cheap, small and works well in the truck.
I still say my best upgrade is my fridge.

It comes with the gopro clip as well as a dozen other mounts. My truck has a go pro mount on the windshield so it just clicked in. For the wire I just used a long usb cable which can be hidden around the windshield.

Just as an aside, anyone wanting to put usb ports or a 12v in the rear, here's the official Toyota install sheet for a nice clean install. Template is on the last page.

Yup, having to sort through a dozen short clips can be annoying. But I purposely have mine set to only 3 minute increments to keep the file sizes down. That way I can quickly wifi download the one clip with the "incident" without having to unmount the dashcam and remove the memory card. Wifi download on these knock off cams is painfully slow. If you're planning to use the dashcam to record fun stuff, then definitely make sure you have the "continuous" recording mode.

Yeah, I get that for the dash cam mode. I got mine when cheap action GoPro knock offs were just coming on the market, so there weren't a lot of options. Next one I get, will definitely have multiple modes so I can choose which I want.

Just received it in the mail today. Sweet camera. Only issue is when I hook it up to the GoPro mount inside the windshield, you can't have it wired at the same time. How do you have yours set up? The goal is to have it turn on a record whenever I start the truck up.

GoPro's do the same thing, but when you import it to a computer the GoPro software will automatically convert it into a single video. At least my Hero5 Black works that way.

I would agree with either a dash cam or floor mats first. Those will be used everyday to protect your truck. From then on tint, mudflaps and down the money pit you go.

Good ideas on the dash cam. I’ll probably add that soon.
