    A power outlet would be super convenient for me in my truck but the sr5 didn't come with one. I'd like to install it in the back of the center console (so people in the back seat can access it) and have it put out enough power to run appliances or charge a laptop. I've read other threads on this but I'm not savy when it comes to wiring and all that. If anyone could help clear things up for me that would be great!

    You'll have to get a bit savvy about wiring to add 115V to an SR5. It's not a horrible kind of thing to do, though, and actually you can achieve a better setup than the factory inverter. My method is as cheap & ugly as can be.

    You'll need, and I recommend these:
    * https://www.donrowe.com/Samlex-SSW-600-12A-p/ssw-600-12a.htm
    * https://www.amazon.com/Burndy-AMS-2-Rated-Splicer-Reducer/dp/B00CBK3NQ0
    * https://www.ebay.com/itm/12V-24V-DC...578?_trksid=p2349526.m4383.l4275.c10#viTabs_0
    * 4' of 6AWG stranded cable
    * Dielectric grease
    * Wire loom and zipties

    I've done a 600W PSW install on four Toyotas. 600W because the physical size allows install under the driver seat and there is a grommet on the underside body you pierce to run the + wire from the battery to the inverter. Also, 600W doesn't overwork the stock 130A alternator.

    I use these Samlex - https://www.donrowe.com/Samlex-SSW-600-12A-p/ssw-600-12a.htm because they're only 2 inches tall so easily fit under the driver seat. Also, the included alligator clamps and cables, you use the + for the battery connection, then use one of these cable splicers to extend the cable under the body to the grommet and into the cab https://www.amazon.com/Burndy-AMS-2-Rated-Splicer-Reducer/dp/B00CBK3NQ0

    - + alligator clip goes onto the + battery terminal
    - Cut the + alligator cable, leave some slack, run it to the ckt breaker
    - Other side of the ckt breaker, run the 6AWG stranded through wire loom out of the engine bay along the frame to the splicer block
    - Pierce the grommet and carpet under the driver seat, feed the + inverter connection from the included alligator cable inside to the inverter under the driver seat
    - Connect the + inverter connection to the splice block
    - Ground the inverter to the rear driver seat bolt
    - plug a 115v extension cord into the inverter, run the extension cord to wherever you please
    - There's two AC plugs on the Samlex, you can run an extension cord right back through the grommet along the frame and install an outlet in the bed
    - The other outlet on the inverter you use for cab power

    Naturally you use a heavy dose of dielectric on the splicer and ckt breaker, silicone the grommet after you pierce it.
