See Post #69 on my pictures and videos of the mirrors in action on my Tacoma.

Well guys I worked out a 10% off coupon through the vendor for Tacomaworld. Use coupon TACOMAWORLD at checkout. Follow this link.

    Hope this helps.

Hello fellow Tacoma lovers. I wanted to start this thread after hearing about Suma Performance mirrors on civic forums for my Civic Type R. They can be purchased with or without built in turn signals and heater elements. Well I purchased them for my car that didn't have turn signals or the heating element so I had to wire those all in myself. Well I started speaking with them after having this on my car and asked them if they would consider making them for the Tacoma. I own a 2017 that is pretty heavily modded and have done a lot of custom work. I run a metal bumper and kept my backup sensors but disabled my blind spot monitors. These mirrors would help me at least get a wider field of vision, would have turn signals and the heating elements built into them which I could easily wire into my Tacoma. They also come blue so they have anti glare. I mainly just wanted to start this thread to see what you guys thought about this product. Eddy at Suma thought it was a great idea and wants to try to bring them to market. I do not work for them but just wanted to do my part in helping the Tacoma community. Again below are just pictures of my car and also a couple videos I had made on YouTube.

I would absolutely buy a pair. I had a blue tinted set of convex mirror on my S2000, they were amazing. The Convex design is great, I hope this happens.

I know I like the idea so much I'm also trying to get him to make stuff for my JK Wrangler.

Like I said they'll have it to where it has the heater and turn signal option or just plain mirror glass. I think for those guys that have the mirror housings without the outer turn signal this would be a good idea for them to wire in their own turn signals or heated mirrors possibly.

I don't see the 3rd gen Tacoma on their "future car list". Has it just not been added?

Edit: Sorry, I am definitely down for a set though.

No I've been just conversing with Eddy from Suma for the last week and asked if he would consider making them for us. This morning he said he wants to now commit to trying to do this. I merely started the thread to see if the interest is there.

i appreciate this. i wonder if others would. but to be clear, i have experience with these lenses, and i only find one spec suitable for me: smoked tint (not blue) and with heaters. i had blue lenses and returned them, couldn't see. the smoked were perfect and super helpful, but either way i wouldn't give up my heaters for the winter.

So I just spoke with Suma again this morning and it looks like Eddy is going to work on getting the mirror to also be able to work with the blind spot monitor for those that have the function. I made the suggestion that he try to go with a red light versus a yellow one since it's more noticeable to the eye. We will see. He's hoping to start releasing them in September.

interested! thanks @Volksparts - If they need any tester rigs I have just the heater option.

I would wire up a in-mirror turn signal though. I don't mind running the wires.

I believe our mirrors are the same as the 2014+ 5th 4Runner, so there is that market as well...

I might even suggest moving it to the area of the mirror that's closest to the truck if possible, and make it brighter than the stock light. My wife's Subaru has it on the shell/casing of the mirror and it's so much more noticeable, even in my peripheral. Hmm, I wonder if @MESO would do something like this.
