Why not just relube it?

The blue coating is a lube for the slip yokes that "non-serviceable". I've seen some guys take them a part and put this lube on them to get rid of the clunk and relube the slip yoke. There are a few guys that put a zerk in their DS to pump grease into the slip yoke, but they aren't really set up for being serviced like that.

Yea I thought about that but the "new" section of shaft curing the problem with no more grease makes me think I need to just replace the slip joint. Grease would just be a bandaid for a couple weeks.

 

They all need grease and have some play from the get go. Just the "non-serviceable" ones run this type of grease which is that blue coating on your current one. Olivers put more grease on mine when they rebuilt it.

 

Initial impressions of the Whiteline bushings are positive. The steering seems to be tighter, less wander, and more responsive. That may be just the butt dyno effect but it seems to make sense because the polyurethane is harder than the worn rubber.

 

I need to do this. My lca cam bolts are seized.

 

I think whiteline is the way to go. Good luck on the bolts, they're not easy. I've used a Sawzall and cut off wheels to get them out in the past. Slather the new ones in anti-seize and you should be fine for many years.

I tried but it just wasn't gonna work with how the factory bushings are designed.

 

Hmm don't try this at home.. Cutting down this u-channel but don't have band saw.

Windrock Park ATR 2019 complete, Way too many people, way too expensive. Ran a couple trails that took way too long (Black trail 16 took 6hrs) because of all the people. Ended up with some #carnage at the Campground office when I was airing up Will check and see if my front tires rubbed my bumper when I clean off all this mud.

Those you have to install from inside the tire. There is another brand out that that can be installed from outside. They also have an emergency tool less option.

 

Colby. I have a set of those but would much rather keep them to get off a trail.

One more #carnage from Windrock. Lost a bumpstop somewhere..



New valve stems showed up yesterday and install went smooth, broke the bead with the hilift, also oiled the hilift so it worked right again.

 

Luckily wheelers had sent me a replacement a while back. It wasn't going to get here in time so I gorilla glued the old one back on. Replaced both sides while I was down there. @HrBrad8 said he saw the old one on Trail16 even said it looked like mine.

 

Topped off my power steering, it was giving me flashbacks of Skipperinos
