Do you always start on the i90 side? I’ve always started in greenwater

also I still think your trip to stampede was better than copper creek. At least you guys got to drive for a bit. We barely made it two miles up the road and back down in like 6 hours because of the dumbass kids blocking the road and then other people on the way down not knowing how to drive.

High school aged kid drove his truck over a bank the previous night, he and his buddies decided it would be a good idea to come unprepared to recover the truck at 11am during the peak traffic time on that road. They developed a line of 30 or so cars and everyone had to try to turn around. We didn’t make it a mile back down and a 1ton ford was buried to the frame in the ditch, and instead of letting the whole line of cars by, the first person in line decided to start recovering the truck, once again blocking the road

also that 12% with the corner at the bottom is no joke. I’ve seen tons of trucks with their sled trailers start up it, and slide back down into the ditch or guardrail. Not surprised it was a mess at the bottom

Yessir. I went a bit farther than this but had my SO with. She started getting nervous about the snow so between that, my lack of experience with the truck and no desire to get my ass stuck in what was approaching white out conditions, I called it a day.

I would think I'd be fine. My old Forester was good up to 20 or so inches with blizzaks and it had shit for power and much lower clearances for the most part. If we're going through 2 or more feet of snow I expect we'll have other issues

Are you gonna use the frontrunner quick disconnect mounts?

When I was at Expo east this year I talked for a while with the Diamondback guy and he had his tepui setup on the back and used the quick disconnects and it was pretty nice. I told him that was exactly how i wanted to set it up and glad to see them modeling it. Low and clean but still easy to manage when not in use or for cleaning or other uses. Definitely a way I would go if I didn't have a shell already. Might still consider it in the future.

I am now going to definitely look into them, sounds like that might be the ticket for how I want it to work.

Were you the one taking a selfie with a hottie at the intersection of 54 and 41?

We did take a couple selfies but if I remember correctly we were on stampede pass road and I had thought we were further up. I think I had my truck parked a little ways down the road. There were some idiots blocking one lane of stampede pass RD taking photos right at the freeway exit when we were on our way up, might have been them. Though my SO is smoking hot ;)

Edit: It probably was us. My SO says she remembers seeing you (or at least a red taco)

The 54rd is labeled as stampede pass road on google maps, and the power line road, is labeled as 54. Google is wrong. Those idiots were still there when we came in. Here is where we saw you... If it was you. https://goo.gl/maps/rGExpD6aBrk6osip9

May I please have all these 4Ds?

Yeah man it is a solid idea and one i have been bouncing around if i switch or as an alternate setup. It was good to actually see it in action and it met and exceeded my expectations.
