It's new to me! Just picked up a totally stock truck with 150k on the clock.

What would you do with it?

Tacoma_Front_Clean_Nov2019.jpg Do everything you want to it!!

I put the seat risers in a few months ago and honestly it changed the entire drive for me.

I built my truck to work for both what my family needs and what I want. We evacuate out of my truck quite a bit and we always travel in the Tacoma. I need to get the awning put back on, we use it a lot. I have a pressurized shower in the bed that I made. We use that a ton, too. The additional lighting has actually saved us from a pretty terrible encounter in the mountains once.

    Nice truck! Enjoy!

    06. check for caved in motor mounts.

Go through and CHANGE not check ALLLLL fluids: engine oil, coolant, power steering, brake fluid, auto trans fluid, front diff, transfer case, rear diff.

Get an OEM Toyota serpintine belt and change it as well, while you are in there spin everything by hand to make sure things are still smooth.

Great advice! This is my "stage zero" plan for sure. You never know what the PO has/hasn't done.

Exactly. I dont care what the PO did especially with fluids even if they have records. Its EASY peace of mind.

Also OP, Engine air filter (Toyota OEM part only), and cabin air filter.

I actually just sold it off. That was my very first move but it doesn't really count right?

Quality floor mats (Husky Xact Contour) and quality seat covers (Wet Okole) to protect that interior.

A set of bolt-on sliders if you decide to off-road it.

Better to protect it before bad things happen, than to react to a spill or ding.

All the comments about maintenance items are good advice, as cars mods go I would start with tires. Personally I have BFG KO2s in 265/70-17 Load C and couldnt be happier, no lift required for this size.

I second (or third) the suggestion for doing the seat riser mod and adding Wet Okole seat covers. Both are simple to do and make the truck much more comfortable.

Obviously do all the engine maintenance suggested as well.

I would research the heck out of exterior and suspension mods before going down that path.
