Choose your amp wisely if your planning on going 4channel and running a sub off of it.

Your always better off running a seperate, dedicated mono/bridged sub amp.

I wont even get into the math and different wiring options but remember 2-4ohm voice coils equals a 2ohm load at the amp....if you wire it up that way.
    So many options
Math gives me a headache but you better do it if youre installing a sub(s)

Gets expensive if you dont get it right the first time.

    Have fun!
Love to see what you come up with!

They do like their own power source as well...but wiring and hookup options and amp install/tuning are a wholllllle nother wormhole!

When you plan out the box, plan out the amp install....you may want to have room inside it for two amps...

Youll be fine with the door setup off one amp Im running all four door speakers off a single 4channel amp but id say rethink running a sub off the same amp as your components....

Appreciate the heads up. two amps shouldn't be a problem, space wise, or one amp in the front for the components, and one in the box for the sub.

If I ever get around to the stereo in the truck I was planning to put a 8" under seat sub in the bottom of the centre console. I seen one where a guy put a 10" sub in that extended out the back, but I want it completely hidden.
Mine is an Off Road so the inverter is in the bottom of the console so that will have to find a new home. Modify the centre console to fit an 8" under seat sub and I want to cut off the cup holders that extend into the rear (how many cup holders do you need!).
I think you can get an 8" powered under seat sub too.

I tossed the down firing box in the trash after trying to GIVE it away for almost a year. I've got zero issue with anyone making their own using mine as inspiration! I've got 2 amps & 2 crossovers stuffed under my front seats. They fit just fine, stay out of harms way & can't be seen by thief's!

Are you pushing it with a 1.21 gigawatt amp?

I fit a 10" low-profile sub under my passenger seat, in my 2nd gen access cab. I had to raise the seat like 1.5" and build a custom enclosure, and even then, I had to fight tooth and nail to get it to fit.

But eventually it fit. I built a custom active crossover network to extend its response well into the fundamental octave, and I powered it with a 500W RMS amp. It isn't particularly loud, but it belts out disturbingly low, profoundly disorienting sounds that to this day sometimes catch me off guard.

It is far less impressive at highway speeds, but will still vibrate your buttocks more than any set of full-range door speakers possibly could.

I'm surprised I haven't melted the sub's voice coils yet, but I'm definitely not into loud blaring music or damaging my ears at all. I strive for <100 dB in the cab at all times, which doesnt sound very loud at highway speeds.

Anyway, for the ultimate low-frequency experience without sacrificing any seat/console area, I can recommend this under-seat sub approach, especially if you are technically inclined and willing to experiment with different configurations.

    Yeah I want to install one of these;
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OYGGMXK?ie=UTF8&psc=1
in the bottom of the centre console between the driver and passenger seats.

I like the OEMaudioplus set up, the sub is neat but- the rear of mine has a flat panel for our dogs- part of why I want to cut the cup holders off the back of the console to give the dogs more room.
