I'm glad I didn't approve of yesterday's wash job because it rained today which means I get a free car wash. Maybe the second time around I'll approve.

Here's a couple of dripping wet tacos, everybody loves dripping wet tacos.

 

All these goodies showed up at my doorsteps today!

 

Removed all the aftermarket wiring from my truck. Removed the center console and lower dash pieces. Installed new clips (to replace broken ones) that hold the fender liners on (front and rear) in preparation for Bushwacker flares.
Wanted to do a lot more but my back will only let me do some stuff then I have to stop.

Ordered red/orange/yellow stripes for the rear of the bed.

Took my center console apart to see if there was enough room to install some VDO gauges (only room for one by the way), and came across this connection. I tried doing a search but found nothing. Sorry if this has already been covered, but what’s it for as I am considering tapping into it? I’m guessing it is for the power converter that comes with some of the models.

Washed and installed a set of 3rd gen TRD wheels.

 

It got up to 55 today, it's insane. Let's go spring!

 

The neighbors cousins Tacoma. The cousin must be in the military because this truck sits here for long periods of time. Sweet little truck.

I wrapped my steering wheel in paracord. Bought my truck with a tear in the leather at top of steering wheel and it bugged the crap out of me. Figured this was the cheapest fix.

Got some Tyger running boards coming tomorrow to put on. Also put on some new AC knobs I got from Amazon. Cheap but look real nice IMO.

I was talking my girlfriend out to eat this evening when this happened. I guess it's about time to trade it in and get something new because I've almost worn this thing out. LOL

 

They are actually painted on. The original owner had the factory ones removed and had a guy paint all the Tacoma, TRD, SR5, and 4.0 Liter "graphics" painted on. Unfortunately after 11 years most are really faded and I'm going to have to remove them. While I can do paint and body work I do not have a steady enough hand to touch them up. I guess I could get ahold of the first owner again to find out who did it, but he's from a distance away in Virginia.

 

Finally got the headlight filler panels on. Had to cut the Brackets they attach to in half cuz my 1" body lift was causing fitment issues against my bumper.

Raised the bumper up all the way now that i could get it over the brackets. The gap is half as tall now and i can live with it.

Painted the headlight fillers with this Spruce Mica spray paint:

Ahh that kinda car wash I hand wash mine or break out the power washer I haven't ever run it through a car wash. I didn't think of that it looks like it did a nice job though

 

Test fit. It got dark before I had a chance to do much else. Need longer bolts.
