    and this thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/switchback-led-bulbs.646902/

got me thinking about getting the corner lights to blink. I was looking to keep the stock 2-pin 194 light bulb size so I didn't need to cut/modify the marker housing and I didn't want to cut any factory wiring so that the changes could be immediately reversible if an electrical problem ever needed to be traced. I also think it is important to not introduce new splices/junctions in factory wiring since they are all cataloged by Toyota and this is a useful reference for problem solving. I ended up making an add-on assembly that plugs into current sockets without any cutting of factory wiring and makes the corner lights blink with the turn signals.

What finally clicked for me is a review for this switchback driver:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073XSXYP2
where a reviewer notes he connected both the DRL and the blinker output together and it works on a single bulb, so I tried it as shown in the 2nd image below. I had been searching for an amber-amber switchback 194 bulb but I don't think any exist, but this essentially does the same thing. I set it up so the corner lights work as normal as parking lights, but blink when the blinker is activated. The solution, for me, was to connect the blue and yellow outputs of the Oznium switchback driver to the positive side of the corner bulb and connect the white wire to the negative of the corner bulb. Then Connect the red wire to the corner light signal, the gray wire to the nearby blinker, and the black wire to the ground side of the marker light socket.

I ordered 3 of the four sockets from Amazon and ebay:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FZP7K7G
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DYKSL9H
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Gray-3-way...l-headlight-with-tefzel-pigtails/293338349020

and the socket on the bottom side of the switchback driver which accepts the corner light wire socket is made from grinding down the light socket from an old pair of corner lights.

A detail of the turn signal adapter is shown in the lowest image. Its purpose is to tap into the turn indicator signal without having to cut any of the factory wires. After potting with Locktite PL Polyurethane Door/Window sealant, I think this junction will outlast the rest of the truck.

Wow, dude. Very very cool. So this keeps corner lights functioning normal AND when corners turned on and then blinker is switched on, that corner light that's on because lights are on, but that corner blinks off/on? Very cool man

Thanks yeah that is exactly how it works. The corner lights work as normal, but when the turn signal is on the corner light flashes in phase with the lower turn signal. I have seen a few posts with different ways to do this, I like this way because it uses the stock size 192 bulb and socket.
