Hey Folks, at the risk of being told to go do more research (I already have done a bunch and feel overwhelmed, haha), I decided to post some questions. I have a lifted 2004 double cab trd with a 3-4in lift on it. I don't know the exact amount of lift, as I bought the truck already lifted. It came with 255/85r16 tires on it, and I have since replaced those with 235s. I don't think the current lift on the truck was installed correctly, as I have been burning through front end parts (ball joints, etc...). I don't think the diff has been dropped at all. It is time to replace a few parts up front as well as the rear shocks, which are shot. I would like to lower the truck, probably to about 2 inches. Couple possibilites are a complete OME 2 inch lift, or just replacing the front and back shocks and springs, and putting some new (smaller) shackles on the back. I would also like to put an ARB bumper and winch on the front. And I am planning on staying with the 235/85r16s or possibly 265/75s.

    Here are my questions:

What is the ride quality of OME lifts?
Any other suggestions for lifts? (If I didn't do OME, probably do Bilstein 5100s)
Is it normal to be replacing front end parts fairly regularly with a 2inch lift?

Here are some pics for the heck of it.

Well, since no one responded (not too surprising), I researched a bit more and just ordered a 2 inch OME full lift kit with the heavy duty 881 coils, as well as an ARB bumper. Will post pics later when all is installed. Will probably post pics in other more relevant threads as well.

Your 2” lift should be much better on parts. If it is stock UCA’s especially, then that is a wicked angle on the upper ball joint. Looking at your LCA angle I imagine your CV axle boots are wearing through as well. I have a full OME setup on my 01, but it is a full 3” front, and rear heavy pack for a topper. It took about 2 weeks for the cv boots to wear out- I ended up swapping in manual hubs from a ‘98. The suspension rode pretty stiff, but was damped well. I imagine a little lighter spring/less lift you will be really happy.
