We still going 11th Annual Tacomaworld Beach Run!

So as most of you know from this thread; #187 , the 11th Annual SPI Run is cancelled. Now, the parks are closed only until the 13th. The run is on the 25th. This thread is for those of us who plan on still making the event happen if they re open the beach. I know for a lot of people who aren't from nearby planning to attend an event like this with only 12 days notice is not very easy, and it would be even worse to show up and find out that the beach is getting closed again, however we do ask that you make an attempt .

The itinerary would be the same as the original since it seems to work out for most of us every year, the only difference is the addition of one stop.

This is the original itinerary and I would recommend that those of you coming from SA/Austin and Corpus maintain it.
"5:30 Leave SA -5:45 am the latest - (For those leaving the SA area that morning)

7:30-7:45 Leave Corpus area after meeting up with the tacomaworldlings from there. Meeting at the Walmart at this address :

9:30-9:45 Arrive in Harlingen, maybe refuel there. Meet more tacomaworldlings there. We'll meet in the Bass Pro Shop parking lot in Harlingen, wait for about 15-20 minutes for any stragglers.

10:30-10: 45 Arrive/ meet everybody in Port Isabel walmart parking lot, buy any last minute things…

11:15 leave together for SPI then regroup outside of Access 5 before going in.

With 2-3 stops between SA and SPI that timing sounds about right. "

For those of us in the RGV wi will be a little different.

We will meet at: 508 W Interstate 2 Pharr, Tx at 8:30am and will be leaving for Bass Pro shops at 8:50am. We will meet up with the San Antonio, Austin, Houston and Corpus crew there and take off together at about 10am.

From there everything is the same:

Guys, I know all of us want to go and I really hope we are all able to make it out. The only thing that is going to be able to stop us is Eddie not reopening the beach.

Guys, just because the access 5 is closed don't mean we can't meet up at SPI. SPI business are open. Let's take over the streets of SPI

 

The good part of the meet is getting drunk and passing out in the sand.

 

Brotha you can still pass out in the sand. Not with your Taco tho... downtown is open...

 

I aint going this particular weekend, but lets go together soon. We'll find out way into the beach, dont worry about that.
