    ***SOLD***

I am the only owner - purchased new in San Antonio Nov 2006.
    4.0L, V6, Automatic, 4x4. /conversion/
The truck shows 212K on the odometer. The engine has 126K miles. About 5 or 6 years ago, converted the truck to 4x4 with all OEM Toyota parts, plus a few custom fabricated items for shifting xfer case and front diff engagement. Just about everything interesting I've done to this truck has been documented here on TW. Most TRD options added including e-Locker rear diff, upgraded Bilstein suspension, cruise, leather wheel.

    $12,500 obo.

    Mod list.
-FJCruiser Xfer case with twin stick mod
-One off, cable operated ADD, billet housing - no plastic, electric motors, or ECU
-One off, cable operated transfer case shifters - no plastic, electric motors, or ECU
    -e-Locker rear diff
-OTRATTW dual LED switches for all accessories (auxillary lights and locker)
-Heavy duty headlight wiring harness and relays from Headlight Services
-All interior lights upgraded to LED
-Tail, parking, reverse, brake, turn signal and license plate lights upgraded to LED
-Firestone Ride-Rite airbags with analog gauges mounted in bed and digital gauge in cab
    -KB Voodoo steel tailgate cap
    -OEM fog lights
    -Satoshi grill
    -FJ shift knobs x 3
-Hella long range lights on grill guard
-Flush mount LED pods in rear bumper
-Surface mount LED pods in bed
-Custom bed rack with removable cross bar
    -OEM Oil Cooler add on
    -OEM Trailer tow
    -XTP Spacer - Red ano
-HPTuned - tuner will be included with truck - current tune v3eng_v14trans_93 from JustDSM.
    -TRD CAI
    -Bilstein 5100s all around
    -1.5 Add a leaf
-885 coils - I ran 33 BFG Muds with this suspension setup without trimming
-7 Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar 265-70-16 tires less than 2000 miles
---4 on the truck, 1 spare, plus 2 extra not on rims
-Toyota OEM 5 Star wheels from 3rd Gen 4runner - qty4, spare is OEM steelie
    -Kenwood speakers in the doors
    -Driver seat spacers
    -HPS Silicon hoses - Red
-Tranny cooler mounted in front of radiator
    - Hood and roof refinished and painted Satin black in 2018.
    - BirdDawg Clearview Rearview mirror riser
-Extra parts to be included -
---750F tranny for parts; the first one I bought for the 4x4 conversion was damaged while being shipped to me. no bell housing or tail section. input shaft would need to be cleaned up
---front diff. I kept a spare front diff just in case. Only thing I ever used it for was cable ADD testing on the bench
---2 Toyota OEM CV Shafts - salvage yard find. Intent was to have these reconditioned and replace the aftermarket shafts I used for the conversion. Aftermarkets held up. OEMs stayed on the shelf.

I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff.
Why am I selling? I'm buying full size truck to pull my travel trailer. The Tacoma hasnt been my daily driver for a few years now. I drive it on the weekends sometimes. Proceeds from the Tacoma will go towards next truck.

    Whats good?
Ice cold a/c, no accidents, no rust, no dents, interior is remarkably clean - and you can see the entire history of the truck since my very first post on TW starting in 2008. Truck has lived entire life in and around SAn Antonio TX.. Completely mechanical 4x4 - nothing controlled by ECU's. 2H, 2L, 4H, 4L. 2L with the rear locked is pretty awesome.

Recent Work - new pics coming
    1. OEM Stereo installed in place of Android tablet headunit
    2. Transfer case fluid change, case re-sealed
    3. New LEDs installed in gauge cluster

    What does it need?
    1. Small tear in rear seat drivers side - about 2 inches
    2. NO TPMS sensors in wheels
    3. Paint near top off doors is getting thin, faded. When I had the roof and hood painted, I should have done tops of door frames as well, but didnt.
    4. Passenger side tail light housing is cracked. All lights (LED) still work fine, but should be replaced with new housing to keep the elements out. Replacement housings are $100 per pair. JDM Spec-D

Stock with a camper shell for now.
Can I ask why you replaced the motor at 180-190k?

Maybe I didnt describe it correctly... I replaced motor when truck had 80K-ish miles on it. Dealership thought maybe I had failed oil pump, resulting in significant valvetrain wear on drivers side. They wanted $3000 just to replace valvetrain components only on driver side and were not cutting me any slack, even though this was my 4th or 5th Toyota I had bought new from that dealership. I decided to tell them to go to hell.. they held my truck hostage for a while, but I finally got it out of there in pieces. I found a place on the interwebs and bought an 09 motor out of a totaled truck with 1200 miles on it for $3000 delivered to my door, then installed it myself. I posted the entire thing, along with pictures on TW. See this thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/1grfe-engine-swap.76358/
Clarify miles... current 212K on truck, replaced engine at 87K miles with 09 engine.
    The 09 had 1200 miles on it when I got it. 212k-87k = 125k
    Current miles on 09 engine.. 125k + 1200 = 126200.

Long story short... for $3000 I elected to buy a near new engine versus having a portion of the old one worked on. It was the right decision at the time and has been right ever since.

I looked back at the engine swap thread... as a coincidence, exactly 1 year ago today I posted an update...
Post #65... I reported truck was running great with 209K on the odometer, so just north of 120K on the motor.
By my math, I have only put 3000 miles on the truck in the last year.

Here it is on 33's, with the current suspension. 255-85-16 BFG Mud 2's, on 16x7 20 hole steelies. 20 hole steelies were used as the spare tire rim on 3rd gen 4runners (96-02). They were easier to come by than the 18 hole version that was included with 2nd gen Tacomas. This is also before I added the grill guard and modified the bed rack, lowering the front and rear crossbars, and making the rear cross bar removable.
