I am looking at a 2019 Tacoma Limited 4wd. Is limited slip automatic with a 4wd or not possible. Do some models offer L/S and not others? I am not sure how it works.

    Check build thread!
TRD Offroad and Pros offer a locking rear differential alongside the brake actuated simulated limited slip diff that comes with the truck. It's not a true limited slip diff, but in my experience it works well enough.

On my 2007 TRD I get tire slip or spin when taking off at a light occasionally when I give it a little too much gas, especially when aspholt is wet. This happens because there is no l/s on, just rear locker. Is the ‘19 limited set up to stop wheel slip?

No limited slip will entirely eliminate wheel slip, but you aren't going to be burning the tires or anything. I don't believe any Tacoma has a true LSD though. Just an ABS stimulated one which works pretty well.

I will also add that on my 17 sport the auto LSD only comes on in 2wd. I should say, the light on the dash illuminates when in 2wd on the trails in the mud. Once I flip into 4wd HI, the light no longer comes on. Leading me to believe the auto LSD does not operate in 4wd, which makes little sense to me as I feel it would be well suited on light muddy trial rides. I could be wrong, just what I have noticed.

Hey, thanks for the help guys. I ended up with a 2020 2wd sport with L/S.
