    Installed a magnet mount!

All worked out perfect and feels OEM. Because of the angle and location it looks like the phone is just floating there from the driver's perspective. 10/10 would do again.

These write-ups have been done to death, but here's what I used for anyone interested:
    • M6x60mm bolt
    • 3 nuts
    • 3 washers
Assemble in this order on the bolt: washer, Handlebar Clamp Base, washer, bolt, bolt, bolt, washer. Then screw into the pillar. Attach the rest of your stuff on there.

Splurged on myself and got a new stereo! Changes the experience of driving to have my podcast/music come on automatically via bluetooth. Also Apple Carplay for longer drives (don't want to plug in for every trip to the store and destroy my phones battery).

    https://www.bestbuy.com/site/kenwoo...-media-receiver-black/6401750.p?skuId=6401750

Also put in a USB port connected to the stereo for Carplay over near my phone mount. Looks OEM if I may say so myself! It's solid and works flawlessly.

    Warning:
If you do this, use a dremel, not a drill. I got the impression with the drill that this plastic would want to crack/chip. Dremel tool that will nearly melt it's way through is the way to go. Then use a file to cut out the little notches around the hole to keep it from spinning.

Go ahead and laugh, but this took me nearly two hours. :frusty:

The previous owner had put two pieces of duct tape on the door seal years ago for some unknown reason. The seal was in great shape, and there's no leak issue. Only guess is that the seal was misshapen and he was trying to force it back? If so it worked. But the tape left behind a residue now more crust than goo.

I assailed it with my micro fiber cloth and car wax, and after a nearly two hour campaign came out with the win. :muscleflexing:

That was my first thought too - but the bottle said "not for use on rubber." Might have been okay, but it made me nervous I'd melt the seal or something.

There are two types made by the good folks at GOO.
GOO GONE and GOO AWAY or something like that. One is rubber safer. WD 40 removes tape sticky.

Great job on removing the duct tape residue! I would of used naptha (lighter fluid) to remove the duct tape residue from the door sill.

All of these suggestions would have been excellent, BEFORE I cleaned it all up! Lol Thanks though, I’ll keep it in mind for next time. ;)

After six months of almost daily searching, I drove 5 hours this morning and picked up a camper shell! That I found one in imperial jade mica is nothing short of a miracle. Has a couple small issues to be addressed, but it's waterproof and in decent shape. Pretty stoked.

Worked on getting the water spots off the windows today! Took forever, but it looks like I got brand new windows.

For those interested: I strapped a microfiber cloth to the front corner of a tile grouting tool, dripped car wax on a portion of the window, and rubbed it with my microfiber tool like a mad man. Took a couple hours and a lot of elbow grease.

For the sake of keeping this running thread updated, here are a few more things that I've done in the interim. No fancy pictures or links, just a list.

    • New radiator installed. $450
    • Replaced camper shell brake light with a new OEM light
    • Replaced camper shell rear window trim (black plastic piece that covers the top of the tailgate) with OEM piece
    • Paid local A.R.E. dealer to fix a small leak in the rear of the camper shell
    • Leaky tire fixed.
    • Installed a rubber seal between the windshield and dash to eliminate dash rattle sound! Best upgrade yet ;)

Where did you find OEM ARE window trim? My ARE shell on my TRD has many leaks and I'm going to have to go through it this summer but haven't found any parts available. I assumed I'd just have to get various weather seal/gaskets and replace the original stuff.

Don’t know which piece you’re looking for, but I got the black trim piece mentioned above through my local dealer. He said it wasn’t an exact match, but he was able to make it work. And it was only $25 for them to install it. Just search for a local dealer and give him a call. What leaks are you dealing with?

Thanks, that is good to know. Ill find a local dealer.

I have a leak in each corner closest to the truck cab, then a leak from each sliding window. Also need to seal the tailgate.

    Yours looks great btw!
