Hiya! Looks like 2nd Gen (no ribs) is on backorder...any ideas when they'll be ready? Also, did I miss a July 4th sale? Thanks!

Can these be installed flipped over so the ribs go down rather than sticking up?

I am planning to purchase one of your Tailgate Reinforcement Plates for my 2019 TRD Off Road. Both the Steel and Aluminum versions are on backorder. If I place my order now, could you please give me a rough approximation of the lead time for either version? Thanks!!

I installed my one piece ribbed aluminum tailgate protector from Mobtown about two months ago. Before I put it on I had the exposed side Line X’ed . I have to admit that this thing is awesome . I can beat the crap out of the tailgate now and not worry about it. That really made it solid . I have a Leer camper shell and it works just fine with it. One of the best mods I’ve done to my 2018. Thanks Mobtown for a great product.

Just bumping this up with a picture of my tailgate skin. I am running it without the factory one right now but may put it back on in the future. Simple install and great product!

Caps are still being made and currently in stock.

The plates will be back in stock in 2-3 weeks max.

Looks like the price has gone from red to green text but still says out of stock?

does anyone know hardware upgrade kit dimensions
the kit that used to be available from Mobtown?
it replaces the stock weak hardware with nutserts and bolts

I'm guessing rounded allen bolts, flat washer, spring washer
I already have a bag of 1/4 nutserts that I believe is the right one. Just not the bolts and stuff
if nobody knows, I'll put the nutserts in and go to a hardware store to see what fits in the parking lot before getting total quantity
and/or poke a digital caliper in to measure depth as an alternate method

torx might actually be more strip resistant than regular allen

also, does anyone know how the old inserts get removed? White/yellow plastic, the fragile ones

I have a full wraparound Relentless flat skin (not pictured) but the stock mounting is definitely an issue.
    -some are stripped
-it doesn't hold tight. There's a limit to how much torque the plastic thread can take
-it ends up loosening over time on it's own, shaking and preventing close of tailgate requiring re tightening

Hopefully with nutserts, bolts would line up and not need boring/reaming/widening of the Relentless skin holes to allow for line-up. Ran into that with aftermarket engine skid plate before.

    like so:
