Yes. Works in all flash modes without any DRL connected.

I'm sure they will for be on MESO's site and possibly Morimoto's. I would think both

Oh so that is what that survey was about.
I might go the same route as on my current Ultimate Limited Turn signal set up. Always on Bright, skip the dim (You don't turn down greatness) and switched on with parking lights.

Those of us who added OEM LED after the fact are blood type AB, the universal recipient :) We have every connector and then some...

Having all those advantages did come at the cost of a very shiny penny. No regrets.

Ok ok now this right here is a game changer cause I kinda don't want thems as DRL. I just want the reverse sequential (OEM) turn signal

Lights, stickers, audio, and a grille…
I’m going amber/amber, so I don’t want the DRL to dim, probably gonna run them off the parking light fuse under the steering wheel. Out of curiosity @MESO , how would these run with power sent to the signal plug? Cause the way I have my taco setup now, I didn’t need to run an extra wire to the mirror, I used Blinker Genie’s in each footwell to be able to send parking light power, and signal power to the mirror signal through the existing signal wire. Just wondering if they’d burn up if constant power was applied to the signal feed, and if the sequential would still work?
    Thanks, Nate.
    Here’s how it runs now...

I'm actually now leaning towards Amber with an inline switch for the DRL's only, if that's possible...

I think I’m gonna go while/amber. I’ve got amber grill lights, then the oem white DRL so I think extending the white will look better than amber/white/amber, if that makes sense.

I'm guessing for the purpose of Hazard flashing, they should be amber.... (edit: hazards are on the blinker circuit, so the switchback LED's will blink amber...)

I’ve spent more time digging through this thread than I care to admit and haven’t seen an official update - puddle pod v1 guys like myself - will we need to go to the headlight or is there a harness we can wire into the v1 to give provide power like the v2s have?

I would think if you update the harness to V2 you will still have to run the new wires through the door and up the a pillar again

I have the prewired Puddle Lights with the unused 2 pin plug ready to go in the mirrors along with the @MESO Puddle Light switch. The Puddle Light switch cable is wired into the A pillar harness. In the previous V5 design, the A pillar was to provide additional signals for the V5: 12V Ignition as a fake "DRL"; 12V illumination providing signal dimming of the mirror DRL and illumination of the Puddle Light switch.

The newly announced PnP V5 DRL wiring kit will be providing from the engine bay headlight connector two signals DRL(bright) and HEADLIGHT(dim) that will exactly emulate the true OEM DRL operation (as controlled by the cabin headlight stalk).

If we cut the puddle switch cable A pillar 12V Ignition line (the old fake Meso "DRL" signal) and splice in (on the "Y" side) the engine bay DRL(bright) signal and cut the A piller 12V illumination line and splice in (on the "Y" side) the engine bay HEADLIGHT(dim), it seems like we can have our cake and eat it as well:

the V5 becomes a true DRL, mimicing the OEM DRL, and the pre-wired, pre-installed, unused 2 pin plug next to the puddle pod can be fully utilized without having to re-navigate the door boot.

The HEADLIGHT(dim) signal also seems like a reasonable substitute for the R44 Illu(+) A pillar signal with respect to illuminating the Puddle Light switch?

@MESO - super excited to see an Amber DRL option!! I was actually wondering this the other day. However, you've just made the choice so much harder now to if I make them match the headlights or have mix and match.

Out of curiosity, I assume it would require some custom wiring to have the mirror DRLs on only when the headlights are on, correct?
